Not thought of this before. But, this remarkable singing-preaching style is sensual. Especially, if the Preacher is good looking and well adorned. The anointing is present, but, secondary to the Soulish and Fleshly! Because, the information delivered is in a Cadence that stirs emotions and flesh. It titillates. It arouses. Most likely, it doesn’t bring true conviction. But, it will bring a Crowd. In our worship experience, We Black Americans are acclimated to catch phrases in the hoop. We call it “The Close!” It EMOTIONALIZED, but, please document where this style “CHANGES ANYTHING, OUTSIDE THE WALLS!” This is great preaching, no doubt. But, melodic, rhythmic, screaming, at certain times gets women hollering and men wishing. Even though it was long ago, THIS PATTERN IS NOT A PANACEA, IT’S A PATTERN OF A PEOPLE, STUCK IN PERFORMANCE TRADITION! I only speak what I see. Respectfully Submitted. #TheLordsJournalist
