I don’t see benefit of filling with gravel. I’m a GC. You’re now retaining so much extra weight.

Nothing about this project makes sense to me. Why dig a foundation and pour walls only to fill it in. Why did you not utilize the square footage as living space instead of filling it with gravel? The floor of the top section could have been poured with supports and then use ICF for the second floor. Next why go to all of the trouble to pour supports for a deck only 8 feet? A deck for a more majestic view should be much bigger . Like 10 to 15feet. I wonder if, after living here for a while if the owner realizes that there needs to be an expansion as this build is way too small.

Poor photography with most of the video being blurred and description said such things as “you can see that line” but all you could see were trees, i lost interest and moved onto another video.

Couldn’t you have made a basement or rooms instead if filling with 200 tons os gravel?

Absolutely stunning journey! It's incredible to witness the dedication and craftsmanship that went into creating this modern mountain cabin. Consider looking into the Buildovate CRM for streamlining the management of construction projects similar to these!

Really not my style. Would never have a SMART home. All data is collected on you and in an electrical outage nothimg works. Concrete is terrible on the back. The Island is also strange. Should be perpendicular to kitchen so you can use the space to cook. Other side could have seating. All to city life for me. Glad you love it.

This is one of the weirdest builds I've ever seen in my life . What a complete waste not to build out a basement . You have an electric fireplace in a woodsy cabin where you could be using a wood stove to use up wood on your property. In the end it looks like a shipping container. Just everything about this is weird. Too small of a spare bedroom. It has a utility closet in it? Huh? Who designed this? Anyway I hope you love it.

The best construction 🚧🏗️ video by far. I absolutely loved it. The commentary is very audible and every single step of the construction have been covered. Well done.👌🏿🤜🏿

I am into $46,000 so far just for the government red tape for my 1000sqft build. We have not even broken ground as yet. We expect the government red tape to exceed $100,000 by the time we are completed. This cost of government red tape will exceed the cost of build materials. Vancouver Island Canada.

Wish you would have calculated for a cantilevered walkout deck. The hangers are nice, but you would have gained two feet on your deck with a superior design. That last opening seemed like it could have used another support. 😅

I'm curious because it wasn't shown in the video ,how deep did you auger pile this property because the moment you have heavy and I mean heavy rain it will all wash down hill ,I would auger the front at least 10ft ,the middle 15ft and lastly the back 25ft then tie them together so to be sure for the next 100 yrs the property would stand strong! And why did you waste all that blue metal backfilling this structure I would have reused the dirt then hit the topping with sand and then cast it !

Why are roof beams supported with plywood? The unit price may be cheap, but isn't the support really low?
