Another outstanding episode. I was worried about how you could make the scene in Janet’s quarters work, as well as the dog and planet scenes. Loved the makeup work on evil Kirk! I needn’t have worried, you really knocked it out of the park! (And thanks for omitting Spock’s horrible line at the end) I too would love it if you could make all the episodes, though you might take a while to do all 79. (Maybe… do the Animated Series too?) This is one of my favorite TOS episodes. There is a significant plot hole that has always bothered me in regard to the stranded crew members on the planet. Indeed, the transporter was out of order however why didn't a rescue team use a shuttle craft to reach the stranded men and rescue them? It seems that option was completely ignored for the plot. In this episode it was like the Enterprise conveniently did not have shuttle crafts. I don't recall an in-episode reason being given for why they didn't use a shuttle to rescue the men. I'll have to watch the episode again to be sure.

Ok, I haven't watch the Star Trek shows since I was a kid but I had to go back and watch this. I was not a Trekie but my bro and I watched but never really re-watched....you nailed this, yours was better...oh by the way in the end credits no mention of the make up person or main gaffer? would it be that Steadman fella?

Yes, another great MEGO episode. Your attention to detail as it relates to the original episode is spot on great work! I have to admit the expression on the dog/creature's face was amsuing going from the calm version to the wild savage version was a nice touch! I have to say watching this brings up questions about the original epsiode. Its unfortunate there were no shuttlecrafts available that day ( I guess they all being used or at the StarFleet reapir shop ) I was wondering what other method they could have used get survival gear down to the planet surface without a shuttlecraft or transporter their options seemed pretty limited without those two. One other item that made me go hmm? Spock said that they transported Thermal heaters down to the planet but they were duplicated and stopped working? I was under the impresiion that beaming items up to the ship resulted in duplication. Because Sulu's phaser and communicator still worked for a period of time before the hypothermia set in Oh well in the end Kirk was restored and Sulu was saved and that all thats counts. Can't wait until the next episode.
