He just wanted to be with his wife and leave the Volturi. Aro couldn't have that. He killed his sister, Marcus's wife. There's another character that's never mentioned in the movies. Her name is Chelsea. She has power over the bonds that tie people together. She kept Marcus bound to Aro and the Volturi. Marcus was a hostage there. That's why he was so happy to die. I get why they did it, but it’s still a bit awkward designating this as “season 1” of Doctor Who.

I'll be brutally honest with you this has not been the greatest season for me atleast the only greatest episodes out of this whole season was "The Devil's Chord" apart from the musical cue at the end and "The Church on Ruby Road" the rest of the episodes of this season I found really "meh" i'm the reverse i'd rather rewatch Jodie's episodes than rewatch this era of Who but that being said the last episode it was ok it's not the greatest finale ever i had a few minor issues with it Ncuti Gatwa is a great actor but he hasn't really won me over as the Doctor yet I felt the emotion and the screaming got really overdone and so out of his character I do think Ncuti needs to tone it down alot more. I didn't like the CGI dog version of Sutekh I much prefer the original and the way he was defeated felt far too quickly resolved and I don't the fact that it's the companion doing all the hero work instead of the Doctor but that's just me. Mel even though I wasn't a particular fan of hers during her tenure as a companion back in the 80's in Classic Who because all she ever did was scream and had no character development what so ever she was the most damsel in distress of that period she was much better served here. I also felt the build up to Ruby's mother was very, very, very lazily written what was with the cloak? No one wore a cloak in 2004 to my knowledge? How does anyone know what name sign she was pointing too? also there wasn't a sign she was pointing too when they first showed it and why was she so important to Sutekh if she was just ordinary? that to me made absolutely no sense and to be honest I'm kind of getting fed up with companions and their families and this whole soap opera route RTD keeps doing I just want to see the Doctor and his companion go on adventures going to different planets, fighting monsters and Daleks and lots of laser guns, aliens and spaceships things like that that's Dr. Who but I'm old school so that's just my opinion over all of the season I'm sorry to sound like a broken record. My theory on Mrs. Flood is I do think she's definately a Time Lord otherwise how does she know what a TARDIS is? And the white coat she was wearing looked very similar to what Romana wore.

its kind of discriminatory that handicapped people cant be villains? i never viewed it as problematic that so many villains were in wheelchairs..... granted im not in one myself but i dont think most people who were handicapped would have thought the show was attacking them. rather than retconing something just make some good guys with handicaps then? but nah....

Yas was such a poorly written companion. Having 3 to start off to cover a wide range of diversity was a huge mistake. With the episodic nature of the show having to introduce a threat and guest characters and resolve everything all in 40 minutes and somehow also find time to have character development for 3 companions and the doctor.... just too much that the companions had no development, the doctor formed no connection with them on screen. then in the end they tried to force in some writing about how much they bonded in between episodes on adventures we never got to see. then yas just felt like the writing was forcing her to be more connected and way more important than the show had actually made her. You cant tell us stuff happened off screen we need to see it happen.

When the 15th Doctor harnessed the remnants of Toymaker's powers and used the sledgehammer, he brought his Tardis from the future. This is because bi-generation, as the name suggests, is a regeneration that happened twice. Thanks to the salt thrown at the edge of the universe and the mess caused by Toymaker, the 14th Doctor, instead of regenerating, pulled his next incarnation from the future at the exact point after regeneration. Which explains the 15th Doctor's speech to the 14th Doctor, that he was only fine because his previous incarnation was healed. And this only happened because the 14th Doctor underwent rehab, or a sabbatical period if you prefer, with the Noble family.

If you want to know more about Sutekh's background checkout "Pyramids of Mars" it's considered as one of the most popular Dr. Who stories of all time a timeless classic. Sutekh was one of my favourites and considered one of the best villains in Who history and been wanting to see him return if he was done right unfortunately I'm not the biggest fan of the CGI dog they could had easily just used a real actor in his original costume and I think it would still had been just as intimidating I'm glad the original voice actor Gabriel Woolfe is back whose thankfully still with us at age 92. The scene where the Doctor explains to Kate about his granddaughter about having children or "will" have children i have to say I didn't like that part much nor does it make sense because the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) once said "he's been a father once" because even though RTD is a great writer I feel he tries to be too clever and I'd rather he not touched upon it too much because it does take the mystery away i like to prefer to assume the young First Doctor had a galifreyan wife and a family back on Gallifrey which would make more sense. The Doctor very rarely explains "regeneration" to his companions because I feel that's a personal thing and shouldn't have to explain.
