That Super Dog Fighter looked awesome, seemed to run and handle really well, and sounds good too. Brilliant stuff!!

One interesting factoid is that the Technituned was the one motor from the 'techni' trio of motors that was NOT included in any of the high-performance 4WD kits (The Supershot got the Technipower, while the Bigwig, 959 and Avante got the Technigold). I wonder why that was.

As smooth sounding as I remember my original dogfighter back in the late 80's. Love it. Bought the re re but can't afford to buy radio gear and everything to go in it to drive it... The car alone cost $850 over here in Aus and that was more than I shouldda spent lol.

Nice to see it out, it sure is a great buggy, loads of upgrades out there for it now aswell. Ive seen some with few original parts on it, its cheaper to just buy the parts and not the kit 😂

I was unsure about this kit, as I am mainly a Tamiya/kyosho fan, but watching how smooth and well it runs I might have to change my mind. Very nice

I have a built runner raider, two NIB red raiders, a new built Turbo Raider, and a Raider Pro NIB. Some day I'll build all of them except maybe the NIB original raider. I may set up a dorama with the open box of the original raiders blister packs showing and a built raider in front of it. Yepp...raider was also my first real RC. I was lucky to start collecting these raiders before the re re craze, way back in the 90s

That is quiet an impressive collection of Raiders. I I wish I could go back 10 years ago and scoop many kits up before the Rerelease craze and the vintage RC market went through the roof.

One of the most important revisions for me is the metal gear train. It weighs a ton but can probably handle any motor you can throw at it!

I have been so excited about the Rc10 rere’s. I have the mini 2 and T. I wish they would have gone the other way with these and went 1/8 scale. All the old guys would have felt like a kid again with a bigger version.

In the UK kits never came “ factory sealed “. Did Tamiya really shrink wrap every kit ? Would the UK importer or model stores unwrap them ??

Love the paint scheme! Looks way better than box art. Having built the Re-release Optima Mid I agree...these kits are top notch. The only issue with these buggies is installing modern electronics. Great build and I love the way it turned out.

My local shop has one and I'm wanting it, problem is....I bought the white one before the word's was released. I bought all the option House parts, I mean all, dual ball diff, Titanium rods, carbon upper and lower decks and 2 sets of universal drive shafts fron and rear, aluminum hubs, all the extra bearings etc. I even picked up the Lemans 240speed control and the 240 Gold brushless motor. I can tell you from experience buying the world's is a cheaper way to go. They only thing that pissed me off is that it's impossible getting parts for this car. I had an original Optima mid se back in the day and raced it for years and regretted selling, so this was my chance right! I've bought and extra belt and tires, body. Unfortunately I wish Kyosho released more parts. I might still get the world's just because the Mid is my favorite car from the era, even over my Kyosho Lazer ZXR. I do agree Kyosho is definitely a cut above, the fit and finish, the over all quality is just outstanding! We just need more parts lol. Mine is probably going to be a shelf queen for the most part, but I do want to stretch it's legs once and a while. Great video, Cheers!

Raced mine a few times ball diff didn't last long. Changed to the gear diff and shorter optima belt. Only rear suspension broke after a day on the grass. Good buggy came 6th against modern day buggies.

It's a sign of the times. No creativity. Even Tamiya has suffered a little in that department. It was all down hill when 1/10 off road adopted aluminum chassis and cab forward bodies. Now 1/10 off road vehicles look like 1/8 gas buggies. U.G.L.Y.

I have an optima MID re-release and thought about buy-in one of these. As you mentioned, it is expensive. Which is why I did not get one. However, you also mentioned the optional parts which makes this a more interesting kit to get. I think you can still buy one of these even though it is a limited edition. Thoughts?
