that's the thing with heat inherit here, I let the sentinel land a hit which primes the target with heat and all other multipliers (heat mods + banes etc). So long as the first proc from the sentinel gun doesn't expire, any other heat procs with multipliers (furis in this example) just add to the lit fuse and thus will still act like it was done by the sentinel because the starting procs never dissipated. If the kills counted like they were from the furis then the procs wouldnt have spread.

Main hand staff is the Carian Regal Scepter, obtained from exchanging the Remembrance of the Full Moon with the old lady at the hold. Offhand is the Carian Glinstone staff, obtained in Raya Lucaria iirc. The two main spells used here are obtainable from following Ranni's questline.

30-35 in the stat is honestly more than enough for most of the game. Especially when spells like Night Shard and Carian Slicer (which are bread and butter for level clears and general use) don't cost more than 4-7 FP per cast while doing absolutely ludicrous DPS. Even here, delegating half my flask charges for FP was actually overestimating how much I'd need for this fight.

It will not ever land on Malenia under normal circumstances.

i spammed ability of the red sword u know, when u kill snake boss and it drops u rune that u can exchange or smth like that , i was dealing 3500 with one ability i was just spamming with mimic + when u hit that ability u heal so it was pretty easy for me

pure sorcery is very doable with the proper equipment and spells. i highly recommend Night Shard/Comet with dual staffs of loss as well as Lusat's with Carian Glintstone staff offhand to go unga bunga with carian slicer. Never really was into cold sorceries but Adula's can be very good in certain cases. Malenia is one of them

any attacks with even a semblance of a projectile will cause her to dash around. even night sorceries trigger her dashes when they make contact. every other spell or skill with a projectile (even chilling mist) will either cause her to dash or dodge and evade entirely, with a very high chance of WFD followup at a certain distance. Malenia is difficult but not quite in a good way.

To this day I reall wish we could play as Wolf vs melania. She is extremely easy if we could use sekiro mechanics

I beat her just spamming Ranni Dark Moon in first phase. She is very passive in her first phase and the only thing I had to worry about was the waterfowl dance cause she can close the distance with that one. In the second phase I summoned mimic tear and both making turns using Dark Moon Greatsword special attack on her. Her second phase is more difficult to a sorcerer. Cant imagine how many tries would take to solo her second phase seeing how agressive she is. Also you were lucky she did not waterfowl in the second phase.

ive seen people just stunlock her with the skill (from the carian regal staff of course) and not let her even breathe. though these strats involve physicks, Millicent's Prosthesis/winged sword insignias and mimic tear. would've done that myself but I refused to use the mimic tear

@@kastaarbeauclair4070 inelegant and stale after a while yes, but using any kind of projectile attack from a skill or a spell will cause Malenia to very rapidly dodge twice and close in on you, before likely following up with Waterfowl Dance. Moonblade is practical here for this sole purpose, it has *some* range and wide swings to hit her a bit easier while also having frostbite for extra damage

​@@rashidalhajali1069 Beautiful solo. Did malenia as a mage like 20m ago using dark moon and night comet, and still it took me 30-40 tries to complete(no room for spells). I could dodge waterfowl dance no problem, but if im to close when she does the flower dance thing, i get a 1/5 chance of survival. Didnt think of using the iceblade for that fight, but maybe i should have tried. I expected solo as a mage to be easy, but it took me about as long as it did with melee.

next time inshallah i will use the fire attack on a magma wyrm
