I've owned 50 kayaks and the pursuit was the worst one. If I was forced to keep any of the 50 I could, but if I was forced to keep a pursuit I'd never fish again.
@BOLZFISHING6 ай бұрын
I hate to hear that you we’re not a big fan on the pursuit. What is your favorite kayak?
@bigguyinalittleboat79276 ай бұрын
@@BOLZFISHING my favorite of all time was a Wilderness Systems Commander 140. My top 5 would be Commander, Old Town Bigwater PDL, Old Town Autopilot 136, Crescent Lite Tackle 2 and Hobie Itrek 11. Not in that order.
@Nick-mc2hy6 ай бұрын
Why was it the worst for you? A friend of mine had it and just hated it for its size/weight. We fish national trails so that is sort of par for the course but she wanted lighter. I tend to like 12’ less than 100lbs of if I can manage to rig it with a motor and all my gear. Always thought the pursuit looked riggable and stable.

I happen to like the product
@bigguyinalittleboat79276 ай бұрын
@@Nick-mc2hy everyone I know under 6’ tall and under 200lb loved it. Everyone I know over that, hated it. I didn’t think it paddled particularly well. The seat was horrible, but that was the old seat. I didn’t think it was very stable at all. Every time I would reach back for a rod I would almost fall out. A friend of mine did fall out reaching for a rod. Tracking was horrible. I had it when we actually paddled kayaks. Now most people put motors on them, so that will alleviate some issues. It was not a good experience for me.

I bought a jackhammer rod this past summer and same thing happened. I bought it at my local Sportsmans, so they let me just switch it out for a Zodius instead. I just paid the difference. It was within 30 days, so the manager was being nice about it. I wasn't interested in cutting it up, shipping it in, and then paying more money to get a brand new rod replaced. I ended up getting an Evergreen Jackhammer rod on sale, the older models, for $140 and it's been so much better for that application. My first fish on it was a 4lb bass and it handled it beautifully. Thanks for sharing your experience.

@BOLZFISHING9 ай бұрын
sorry for the late reply took a break for a while. The kayak fishing industry has taken some major steps forward in the right direction as a whole but feel like there is still more room to grow. Just speaking on kayaks I the the new innovations are great but would love to see the industry still focus on what kayak fishing is all about. Getting back to the roots of kayak fishing small boats in skinny water where other boats can get to.

My Lure 11.5 arrives tomorrow! I've been checking out people's setups for days... I like yours a lot. Thanks for sharing. Allow me to return the favor: your kayak is a boat, therefore it doesn't have a "left side", but it does have a "port side". Opposite the port side, you'll find the starboard side. The pointy end is called the bow, and your rudder is hanging from the stern. One more thing, and this is a big one... There are no ropes on boats, they are all lines. Keep these things in mind, and folks who know what they're doing might mistake you for one of them! LOL, J/K of course! Tight Lines!

Thanks for the video. What strength of heat gun did you use? I will be installing pads in my LT2. I will also need to buy a heat gun, and could use some thoughts about what strength of heat gun is needed. If I don't find or get any thoughts on that, I will just go with the weakest and cheapest. It doesn't seem like much from the heat gun is needed.
