This was my program when I first went to work as a as a preproduction planner for Sundstrand Aerospace It was the wingsweep actuation system that made the wings move from wings in and out. I loved that program

Are they based there? Or were they just visiting for the airshow?
@Mach1Airspace9 ай бұрын
Based there. They’re from the Florida Air National Guard, 125th Fighter Wing, 159th Fighter Squadron “Boxin’ Gators”, and they stand alert 24/7/365 on Detachment 1 at the Base.

@@Mach1Airspace Interesting,we have the 48 Fighter Wing here in the UK which operates F-15E Strike Eagles, even though I live about 150 miles from the base, they do occasionally pass over my house at high altitude. They only operate during the day though
@Mach1Airspace9 ай бұрын
Here they’re stationed at Homestead as well as other heavy hitters such as F-22’s and F-35’s, C-17 Globemasters and the Lance Bomber primarily to guard against any threat coming North from Cuba but their reach covers the entire U.S. Eastern Seaboard. Hard world. Many threats. Be safe.

I saw the video from Iraq where one Harrier took out 2 Iraqi Migs. it was amazing it just flew between the migs, stopped dead, turned around, and launched it's missiles as the migs flew past.

300mph is serious... vertical take off and land point to point, for 50 to 200 mile journies, this is so much more practical than getting in a chinook or a c130...what a beast

Folks, we are the most strongest country in the world. And we cannot let Donald Trump be elected for President again.. This man has proven over and over again. That he will sell this country out. He cannot be trusted, and I'm talking to all the military men out there and form a military, everybody. Do not let this idiot in office....

Nope do your homework before posting. I’ve seen DC10s do that during take off and landings. It’s just the air around the plane having a low enoug pressure to condense moisture in the air. If the air is dry it won’t happen for any plane even the DC10 doing it’s thing at subsonic speeds.

I never knew these existed until 94 when i was 14 and True Lies came out. Had no idea there was a jet that could hover and take off vertically, and had been around for nearly 3 decades already
