Would you pleaase do a vid showing someone with a lower swing speed/ Senior player. With a senior soft flex vs regular flex to see the difference in the numbers. I assume it would be smart for a senior player to have a soft flex snd a high loft like a 12 degree loft or not?? Looking forward to this from you!! Cheers

You can also set up your tee two club lengths behind the markers. Knowing this is especially helpful on chewed-up tee boxes.

I recently swapped my 3 wood, from an original TM V-steel to an AI Smoke, and now consistently top it off the tee. Didn't have that problem with the old one... During my testing with the AI Smoke I didn't top a single shot....Heavier shaft now, could that be playing a part?

Great video! I would also add that you don’t need to play pro v1’s or the most premium golf balls. Pick a golf ball which will better suit your swing speed 👍🏌️♂️

Coach, the sound of that thin from the bunker actually made me flinch. How about a trigger warning next time for our PGSD?!
@CoachLockey2 күн бұрын
They weren’t thin. They were struck. I’m not practicing a greenside bunker shot 👍
@nickskerrett52402 күн бұрын
@@CoachLockey I was referring to the examples you have of practicing strike out of bunkers and what happens when you catch them a little fat or thin. No disrespect! Lockey army!

Great video, Im working on this right now actually. Ive finally got my 7 iron up to 165-170. Im 53 years old and weigh 135lbs in a rain storm. If I can hit it that far then anyone can. I think Im dragging the handle through impact a little too much with my longer clubs though. Im getting there, these videos help a lot. Thanks

One more tip: Take the 60 degree wedge out of the bag.
@MatthewWilliams-r4p2 күн бұрын
The way you put your clubs in the bag depends on whether or not you walk or ride the majority of the time. I can't remember the last time I walked a round. Putting my clubs in the bag like you said would be so annoying as you would have to reach over and around your driver/woods to get to your irons and wedges.
@davidbradshaw6463 күн бұрын
Looking forward to trying that, thanks
@johnklein3093 күн бұрын
Understand you don’t have to try and hit your next shot as far as possible. If you have 300 yards to the hole and obviously cannot reach, split it up into two 150 yard shots with less chance of shanking one into the forest.
@Amarsingh515903 күн бұрын
Don’t necessarily agree with this. It may work for some but for me I hit the ball much better when my clubs are laying flat. Every Bryson dechambeau lies his clubs flat

My first set of clubs my Dad bought at a Goodwill thrift store for a song, a complete set of women's Macgregor Tourney blades, and wooden woods (diver, 3W, 5W), 3i-SW). There was a small pasture out back of the house I used as my range. I mowed it with the small tractor we had, then used a push mower to clean up my hitting line and 10yd wide circles to simulate greens at 75, 100, 150 yards. Hitting from the left or right side of the hitting line increased the distance to my "greens" by 20 yards. Hitting driver caused my to go through a barbed wire fence into a "raw" pasture, populated with cattle often and some brush here and there. That is where I learned to hit recovery shots off of all manner of lies. My teacher was my Dad. He had a Fred Couples type swing, effortless and maintained a handicap in single digits. Some of my favorite memories were with Dad, hitting balls at sunset. I was 14 when Dad let me play my first round at a golf course. I shot 91 with three lost balls. Best golf tip Dad ever gave me? Know the distance of every iron with a half swing. That single tip gave me a whole different set of tools, effortlessly. Second best tip? Never try a hero shot, just hit something that finds the short grass. I'm 65 now. It is a great game. Enjoy it with friends and family.

Its so hard to start your ball that far up the right side when you are hooking (drawing) the ball. Every time I try to start it up the right side, my draw doesnt draw and Im in trouble up the right side. Hard to play with a 20 yard draw, lol

As a high scorer and a golfer who is coming back to the game after a 10 yr break I agree with everything except the balls. Im a budget player and with my score as high as it is, I buy use balls. I wont notice the difference. When I get close to breaking a 100 then Ill look at getting consistent with them lol. Also thanks for the tip with the clubs. Ill try it next round!

Don't cheap out when buying a pair of golf shoes. Your feet are important, and you're going to walk a lot of miles. A £20 pair from a sports shop will cause you more pain than you could imagine.

3:15 to 3:55: 👍👍👍👍👍👍 THE biggest difference between people who play slowly and people who don't. And while we're at it: When the path to the next tee goes sideways at about 100 yards short of the green of the hole you are currently on, DON'T leave your bag or trolley or cart at that distance in the freaking middle of the fairway, especially on par 5s. Please leave it to the side you have to continue later anyway.
