HI, I'm curious why you finish a glissard with straight legs? Also is that a glisse, jete or grand battement exercise?

Hello! the Glissade exercise at the end of the video is a progression exercise to build up the feeling of the "up and over the Rainbow" feeling that you need in the movement. A real glissade starts with a demi-plie, the brush and up and over feeling happens (with the toes on the floor) and the 2nd leg closes in with a demi-plie to complete the movement. The other exercise in this highlight video is working on the explosive battement jete, which is a movement of the leg quickly extending out to 2nd position at 45 degrees off the floor.
