Is it possible to use this screen as the main monitor for small desktop PC replacing the big >20 inch pc monitor? like connecting GPU from PC to this screen via hdmi cable then using power adapter 12v to power up this monitor (meaning there would be 2 plug outlets one for PC and one for monitor just like normal desktop PC) . I want to build a whole setup that could fit in a backpack so I can do light gaming while traveling :)

I'm currently working on a same project but my panel is a 4K monitor from a Lenovo Y700 and I can't find an affordable and available driver board for 4K resolution. However, there are plenty of 1080P boards available and I'm okay with getting FHD output if it's possible. Does my panel work at 1080P with a FHD driver board?

Hi I hope you or “anyone” can shed some light for me, I’ve watched lots of there video and decided to try it: I have no idea as to any components or their purpose, but bought two boards for two different screens I have. Both set-ups show same result, NO screen light up!Thanks, I’l attach photos if I can but descriptions may be better as on one I’ve constructed a chassis of wood; and some connections can’t now be easily seen. My computer is an iMac (iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2010)) I purchased a mini display port to HDMI cable (iVANKY) , I already had a 12v power supply. One main board lead goes through the backboard into the screen socket. The boards are secured to the backboard for safety, everything I made is wooden. There was also a small slender board attached to the screen which I’ve retained and attached safely. No Idea what any of these boards are for.. When I connect the power, the light is either red or green red/blue on the other board setup, and switches with the power button The screen remains blacked out. If I connect the HDMI cable the computer shows it’s presence in its display, BUT the screen still stays black. Any help would be very appreciated.. Thank you.
