I think a lot of young people are trying to speedrun life way too quickly, but it's really not supposed to be a race. Things like marriage and finding the right career etc. are all things that take time. Don't feel bad for not being at a certain place in life just because you see people around you doing so much faster than you. Chances are, some (if not a lot) of the decisions they are making (mostly Gen Z and the younger Millennials) are being made way too early and too soon for them to realize that they aren't fully ready or prepared for what they are getting themselves into. They see the excitement and the prestige of these things, but don't realize that that hype and bliss can fade very quickly after all the celebrations and initial attention is over. It's just like graduation, you have a big ceremony and everyone is excited, then once the party has ended, you got the rest of your life to deal with (whether good or bad). Unfortunately, I predict there's going to be many MANY divorces and many regrets from a lot of the younger generation making these big life decisions so early in their lives before they are able to really spread their wings and fly for the first time. If they are stable enough in their lives to be able to do things like take risky career moves or get married/have kids/start a family etc. and/or if they have a strong enough support network to fall back on, then more power to them. But if that's NOT the case, they will probably end up pretty miserable after the honeymoon phase and glamour has ended, and they'll probably look back with at least some regret wishing that they had been more patient like you and thought things out more before making hasty decisions. Honestly, time will tell. But I don't think it makes much sense to speed through life and/or life experiences when you are still very young and have a lot more exploration to do in the free world before settling down. But, to each their own I suppose. I don't think you need to worry though. You are moving at your own pace. And if nothing else, you will be able to observe and take lessons from those that are making these serious life decisions so early. The knowledge that you will gain from their experiences (and mistakes) will help you make better decisions of your own.
