I recall once when choice of weapon came out I had call a radio station 97.9 to request the single for the animals from the choice of weapon album. And what I got was replied I really don’t think you want to hear that song. Why? Well they sound like their trying live out in their twenties when their in their fifties now. I thought what the hell does it matter the cult still aged with perfection even if a radio station is a one track minded. Now I’m in my fifties still a hardcore rocker from the waste down & their will never be any room for the cesspool methamphetamine no life music of today..😂 Cult-Tastic!

Ian never sounded this good even on studio recordings. Actually, their lives were always kinda messy, but that's what I like about them: the wall of sound with hardly distinguishable words and shamanically dancing frontman.
