Snow's bike Eidolon made out of 2 lesbian was so powerful.... It crashed the game by "runtime error" and put Steam Cloud out of sync. ...the only other woman who crashed my game on PC (without mods) was Rouge The Bat in Sonic Adventure 2, lmfao Final Fantasy XIII is a old school RPG parading as a New Style JRPG with sidegrade weapons, versatile character cast not defined by a single role, corridor onward adventure... The main attraction being ATB combat where when roleplaying as one of six characters as -leader- "car driver behind the wheel" of ragtag fugitives, you need to control the flow of the battle by Paradigm Shifting, before and during battles You control one character, you shift gears, and most importantly, your death will instantly crash the whole car into "game over" screen

I want to replay it one day, but man... I am a huge FF fan, and I quit the game about 3 hours before the ending, didn't want to grind for some boss. It took me about two years to get curious and watch how the story ended on KZfaq. I blame Snow, he got characterised too well, and I, being a quiet introvert guy, just couldn't stand him. Can't say he is a bad character, maybe I just get mad at people with his level of overconfidence.

I disagree with you about the exposition stuff. There is a way of giving away information with it feeling natural to the story and also making it much easier for viewers to understand what's going on. I think this game was written assuming people were reading the datalogs all along.

I still fucking hate the combat. And the dialogs is bad. Like come on can we please stop coping like this is some misunderstood masterpiece?

Just to add to Vanille and Fang, They are the only 2 characters who learn " Faithra " ( increasing Magic by 80% ) and " Bravera " ( increasing Strength by 80% ) which are DOUBLE of the standard Faith and Bravery ( raises Magic/Strength by 40% ) Both also are the only ones that learn " Protectra " ( 50% physical damage resistance ) Compare to its counter part ( 25% )

This was my first FF and at the time I remember being confused with the plot as well as the overwhelming number of abilities towards the later stages of the game. However, it was pretty rewarding to finally understand the full potential of the paradigm system,summons and mechanics of the ATB system to be able to finally take down the big turtles/Sha Long Gui in the Gran Pulse area (if I remember correctly, entering the second phase of the summon instantly dropped the turtles leaving enough of an opener to debuff/buff and get a stagger). Seeing Fang hit 999,999 with a finishing highwind was so satisfying imo

This was the only FF I played because it was the only one available on the Xbox.

You are wrong about ff13 . It was confusing and a mess then and still is. You could have convinced people more if this was ff13-2 which I find best of the trilogy and misunderstood. Idk why people in social media glazing ff13 recently.

Im not sure if you're aware (or others) but theres actually a trilogy of books on FF13 & 13-2 that explain more about the characters, world, events, and the 13-2 ones explain things in greater details regarding the events that bridged 13 and 13-2, and the other book for 13-2 explains things regarding Caius and his side of things. Really great books, each book is like... 130-200 pages, so not super big books but i bought them very recently and they were really good, and further helped me understand more about the 13 trilogy. I am a 13 trilogy lover, and a die hard lightning fan so i have thoroughly enjoyed this video (ive watched it multiple times now)

This series convinced me to play KH, when I had long written it off as 'not for me' Since the start, I have played as much of KH1 as I could stomach Finished KH2 twice. And I even tried CoM which is probably my favorite purely for doing something new (I know KH1 really did a new thing, but coming to it this late it no longer feels boundary pushing) and succeeding pretty well for a first take on the deck builder/action blend. Looking forward to the next one, glad I finally got the chance to watch this one. Thanks for all this work. The end results are fantastic.

About Kaz and the kids: Snake states that they can bring the kids to "Outer Heaven", Kaz understands and starts recording the "evidence" for their client. Other then that, there is concept art for a grown up Chico that was supposed to show up in Africa. I have this theory that he was supposed to show up before that mission with the kids and seeing him end up like that would have given Kaz a more direct reason to want to save the child soldiers. And about Liquid hating Big Boss: I believe it wraps back around to the themes of MGS1, where he felt that because of him having Big Boss' DNA, he had no choice but to follow in his footsteps. How I interpreted this is that Liquid feels that he was born a defect and that he would never live up to his father. This causes him anguish and taking it out on (I can't believe it's not) Big Boss is how he deals with it. As for the cut level, yeah, like you said, extra thick plot armor.

Its really troubling the amount of people who are going back and saying 13 is good. I know the game industry is crap right now but that dosent mean we should go back and retroactively start saying old bad games are suddenly good now.

Having finished the video and hearing your comment on wishing theyd revisit this game. I REALLY hope you give Final Fantasy 7 Remake a chance, i know you bucked the 7 comparison early on but i think what those reviewers didnt understand is that they WERE playing a modern day 7 they just didnt understand it. The remake games have the soul of 13 in them and they actually are designed with the 13 games philosophy. If you decide to play 13-2 and Rebirth back to back you will likely be stunned at how they have identical dna. Because of this i already know that the last game in the trilogy will be structured like Lightning Returns and i think Lightning Returns is the perfect segway into Remake. Because you love this game and you loved the depth i really really REALLY think Final Fantasy 7 Remake will blow you away it really has convinced me that Nomura and his team are outstanding.

29:20 you mention that you keep comparing this game to re:coded because it shows how it can be done... But then fail to mention that this game suffers a bit from "first game sysdrome." As you said several re:coded has lots of upgrades comparatively, BECAUSE 358 came first. Yeah, it wasn't the first game on handheld but the first 3D kingdom hearts on DS. It doesn't change the fact that the combat is jank as a hell sometimes but it does make so much sense as to why re:coded plays better because the dev team learned from the failings of 358. If you read all this, thank you and sorry for ranting, but I wanted to say my thoughts.

In a post 16 world just shows how no matter what people will hate any entry. Personally i enjoy 13 and 13-2 for what they are to the point i will replay 13 every few years just like the other classics. I do wonder what 13 would be like if it was made in any other console generation. Also this game is the reason i like women similar to Fang

Final voyage is my favorite from the OST. I SWEAR I hear the distress signal mid song when you approach Dark bramble. To me the song feels liberating, End times is so melancholic to me that Final voyage doesnt feel heroic, it feels conclusive, at last. Hearing the distress signal feels like the last guide from the Nomai to you, they are there, still, never left, and are waiting for you to take them where they so desperately wanted to go. Loved the vid! I finished Outer wilds a couple of weeks ago and I cant move on lol, probably never will

The amount of crap I got from people cause I use to defend this game, I enjoyed it through and through. How has it taken so long for people to realise the game is an under appreciated gem.

I just played and platinumed the whole trilogy on my PS3 back to back. 13-2 is admittedly better than 13 though.

I know you and everyone else were. Ive played every Final Fantasy to date (aside from that steaming pile that is 16, I'll never even gaze at its direction) and 13 was calamitously underrated.

I'll say this ff13 would been better if all those transformer movies hadn't burnt us out
