I had a "Hot Dog" pilot chute, they were about 4 feet long extended, so there was never really a hesitation issue.

Does your rig not have a reserve in the container?
@pmxc
@pmxc 4 жыл бұрын
It's a 60s style rig - main parachute on the back, reserve on the belly.

Zenith.aero is the best community now for asking about Zenair / Zenith airplanes. The Zenairs have always been simple planes to build and there are still scratch builders, something one can't do with many other designs . I wouldn't say it is a great plane in a crosswind as the control harmony isn't ideal (lighter in pitch than on ailerons) but it is OK.

Is this a baby cobra reserve? Niagara parachutes? You said Canadian , just wondering because my grandpa owned Niagara parachutes and made all the chutes himself
@pmxc
@pmxc 7 жыл бұрын
Actually the reserve canopy was from M&S around Montreal. I do remember a lot of Baby Cobra reserves around in Ontario in older rigs, when I started jumping.

Bill , I bought my jumpsuit from Eddy Grimm in 1978 . ( Pretty sure his name was Eddy ) . I also jumped at Coldwater DZ in 1978 and his son was an instructor there but I can't remember his first name . I had a used PS06 ( Yugoslavian PC ) and a 24" reserve for my first gear . Good times .

Fantastic. But why bleep your natural responses? I had 3 mals on old fore and aft gear and chopped away onto a GQ round reserve each time. Used the kicker plate as a target disc. Saved $20 a pop -- big money in the late 70s. I'd love to see any more footage of vintage gear jumps. I've got a 27 foot Russian PC waiting to make a reappearance.

You'd think Hamilton was the first team to ever have a dry streak. Ticats won't be riding the bottom for much longer if at all, they've made major improvements over the last 2 years and turned ass whoopins into close losses and we have those good players as well as more good players as well as early draft picks as well. Our only real question mark is the DL. If someone really wants to argue about this i'll be looking forward to it, please reply.
