Net Zero is a ridiculous, unscientific scam. Councils should be ashamed of themselves for wasting hard working taxpayers' money on this rubbish. The "climate crisis" only exists in cyberspace. No one can provide a shred of physical evidence for it actually out in the field.

I wish some people in the coments would understand the Royal Marines are part of the Royal Navy and not the British Army. These men are based just outside of Plymouth 42 or Four Two Commando .The history of the Royal Marines dates back to 1664 and they just celebrated their 359th anniversary. The Royal Marines and the Navy have always played a part in the history of Plymouth.

the brixham lorry will pick up all there fish and put it on the market to be sold on the clock a much fairer way because it includes eu markets and the price is usually better all round ,most of the inshore fisherman up here in suffolk put the fish in a reefer container to be picked up twice a week from a transport from brixham !! shout markets only have ever made local fish merchants rich and formed a cartel ie dont bid you lot i will get it cheap and split it after,

Hmm - another poor locomotive left fuming by too many ticket sales. I appreciate you gotta make the cash, but this is boumd to happen. If you want punters chuffing on steam trains, let them chuff the long way round. If you want magnificence and record breaking runs, give the poor thing a more realistic load.
@DNHE133526 күн бұрын
It was vegetation causing a knuckle to fail on the vacuum brakes, this caused the brakes to come on you can hear the screech from the coaches. The load was nothing compared to what Castles pulled in the days of steam.
@user-ow5vu4vx7c26 күн бұрын
@@DNHE1335 Hmmm . . . sorry but that sounds even more implausible. Some numpty had done up a brake line with a bramble bush in the way. It's OK, I am going to let go. Whatever.
@DNHE133522 күн бұрын
Nothing to do with the load being heavy. A vegetation strike to the train at the bottom of the bank struck some of the butterfly handles on the outside of the coaches towards the rear of the train causing the brakes to drag hence the loco stopped 400 yards short of the summit. This was corrected as the 47 was attached on the rear and the 47 assisted the train up the remaining 400 yards of the bank and then did nothing else to Bristol except be dragged as part of the consist. 7029 did all the work arriving into Bristol Temple Meads 5 minutes ahead of schedule. Nothing to do with the loco OR the crew. 47 was detached at Bristol for 7029 to then carry on unassisted through to London Paddington non-stop with the 47 following as booked too a few sections behind. Loco performed superbly over the 2 days with no issue…😉👍🏻

Just so everyone knows, the steep bank wasn't too much for the locomotive. It was actually built to run on these lines. As far as I know, some trackside vegetation managed to find it's way into the braking system on the coaches, locking on the brakes of the last couple of the train. Clun Castle was having to haul a train that was fighting against it. No locomotive could sustain that.
@DNHE133526 күн бұрын
You should work for Plymouth Live, you'd get facts right 😅 completely agree, the load was light, she could haul a few more coaches.

It is highly likely that Labour will win an election. It does worry me a bit that they are not being very vocal about our defence or support for Ukraine. One of the greatest threats to our future standard of living is that the world continues to descend into chaos if Putin beats Ukraine and the war affects our energy costs as it then spills over into Poland and the Baltic states. Appeasement today will cost us dearly in the future and it should not be a party political issue.

What a HORRIBLE , UGLY denatured concrete plan Aieeee!!. More than a hundred mature trees destroyed for THAT?? Won't do Plymouth's ( international ) reputation any good. But then these council goons don't care and are too limited to understand. I am an ex Plymothian living in a large city in France... and you can bet I've told as many people as I can what the Council in Plymouth has done!
@daydays12Ай бұрын
What a (BAD) turn these 'Council' vandals have given to the international reputation of Plymouth, Devon. I was raised from a baby in Plymouth. I live now in a big city in France, which likes to pride itself on its green credentials and I have let as many people as I can know about the actions of Plymouth Council. The 'plans' I've seen for what is supposed to replace more than 100 mature trees look 'dead'.... concrete and shrubs.... 'new town' municipal style emptiness replacing the organic diversity. Why this HATE of trees?
