Back in 2005 when I was 4-5 y/o. One restaurant from my hometown had a rebranding and looked so futuristic and frutiger aero. I’m not joking, even back then the aesthetic would cause the same feeling it causes now with the “nostalgia”. The restaurant was breakfast food or early lunch. It opened early and closed around 7pm. Food was very fresh and good in all. It lasted around two years until it got old and they sold the place. Never saw or have seen (so far) a place that genuinely portrayed what they offered. That first one... Something about it... I can't say I've seen anything like it before since I certainly don't remember anything like it. But I remember a taste of a memory? That's the only way I can describe it. The first one is either the OP mistaking a dream he had for a real event, or it was some Halloween decorations someone put up. I lean more towards it being Halloween decorations, the human brain tends to add and forget key parts, and not out of the question OP's mind forgot that in the midst of the fear and confusion of the time, and the fact he mentioned his mother remembered it which obviously wouldn't happen if it was a dream, and also mentioning the skeletons had clothes on and kept waving even after being pelted with rocks. While the 90s wasn't as technologically advanced I'm sure some decorations had movement. Like the waving Santa lights you see at Christmas. It sounds a lot like some quirky animated holiday decor that someone would probably stick outside their house in October. The better question is, was it really on a train car, or was it outside someone else's home and the OP has misremembered it?

I've seen a couple people claim fake broadcast intrusion stories here and there, but the reality is actual broadcast intrusions have only happened a handful of times in the past 40 years, and the description of a scene involving hundreds of actors would have been extremely expensive to produce. it'd be helpful to know if OP had digital or analog cable, as both existed during that time, and also what region the poster was in, as an intrusion could be limited to only that local area. The other posters that claimed to remember the "repressed" memory of having seen it easily could have implanted that memory in themselves just by reading the post, possibly informing their imagining of it with things like that 1980 Apple "lemmings" super bowl ad shown. That ad itself would only make sense as what OP saw as either a false memory, or as a broadcast intrusion using the ad; since it was a 20+ year old ad it wouldn't have been re-aired legitimately. The original ad was in color, but the imperfect signal transmission of an analog broadcast intrusion could cause an otherwise colored scene appear as black and white. Maybe it is possible that there in fact was a hijacking, but it only effected analog cable users in a local area where most people had already switched to digital cable (or vice versa), and because of that it avoided being documented
