I love making pottery with a pottery wheel because it allows for very precise creations. Similarly, hand-building creates works with a rustic charm and warmth. Let's both do our best to create wonderful pieces!

Once again some beautiful pieces. How magical is the process of the heat work in the kiln using the same glaze on a different clay body. Simply amazing.
@tsukashigechannel7447Ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment, Evelyn. The thermal reactions of glazes are truly mysterious and fascinating. Even with the same glaze, it shows different expressions each time it goes into the kiln. It's very difficult, but that's what makes pottery so interesting.
Nice pieces, pitty about the cracks. Maybe its an idea to let dry your greenware longer by putting them under lose plastic. Turn them (upside down) every day and again under plastic. After some days let the plastic off. Then wait till bone dry. Or bisc fire a bit higer at 980⁰C and the second fire lower at 1080⁰C. Succes 👍
@tsukashigechannel7447Ай бұрын
Thank you for the valuable address✨ One possible cause of the cracks could be that I dried the piece a bit too quickly. Pottery is difficult, isn't it? 😁💦 If you don't take your time and work carefully, it can lead to mistakes. 😁💦
@sheilavandervalk3393Ай бұрын
@@tsukashigechannel7447 no problem. Yes a guick drying process can cause cracks. Depending on the weather conditions. Where i live (the Netherlands) the conditions are rather cool and the moisture is high so drying goes relatively evenly. If you don't have those conditions the drying under plastic advice might help you out. Greetz 🌸

They still look fabulous, the shape and glaze finishes are stunning. What a shame there were some cracks. There are numerous reasons these can occur. Thank you for the comment✨ It was unfortunate that there was a crack, but I was relieved that there was no water leakage👌 There might have been an issue with how the stamp was pressed as well. This all became a good learning experience😊👌

Well made. What glazes do you use? Did you make them yourself or are they pre purchased. What are the names of the glazes? I think you do an amazing job. I will follow your video and learn off them. Thanks. In Australia we are now in Autumn, weather has been unseasonably warm where I live in Canberra. Your weather will be warming up being spring time. Lovely plants will be flowering after winter.

Thank you for your comment! This glaze is something I purchased previously. The name of the glaze involves applying a gold luster containing a lot of copper, then layering it with a white glaze containing straw ash on top. Afterward, it is fired in a kiln at 1230°C. The glaze melts and creates an interesting expression. Please give it a try! 🌸🌸 Japan is starting to bloom with cherry blossoms.
