You know that these were purely fictional right? The Emerald Buddha was carved in Chiang Saen (part of Chiang Rai province in northern Thailand today). Nothing to do with India, Sri Lanka, Cambodia or Laos. One Laotian King borrow it from a king Chiang Mai (also one province in northern Thailand today) to his capital in Laos today but never returned it back. So the emerald Buddha was in Laos for 200 years until King Rama I brought it back to Siam or Thailand today.

I enjoyed your tour. It brought back fond memories, when I got married in 1983 (seems like forever) and we honeymooned in Bermuda. Unfortunately, the marriage didn't last. Perhaps one day I'll get back to the island and see the many changes. Thank you for reviving a wonderful time for me back in 1983. God bless.
