Could you please let me know which type of frame is used for alphabets? Is it normal photo frames or any specific frames available for this type of arts??
@AbisArtwork6 күн бұрын
Hi, you have to use shadow box frames for quilling paper art. There has to be a gap between the glass and the artwork. In my case I used 10mm wide paper strips. So I used a shadow box which has a depth of at least 10mm.

Can u just tell me which tool u have used to bend the paper?
@AbisArtwork17 күн бұрын
I use a needle tool to curl the paper strips. Somtimes I use the handle of the slotted quilling tool.

How did you measure the straight strips to be the correct length before putting them in the design?
@AbisArtworkАй бұрын
I measure the straight strips by putting them onto the empty space and shorten them til they fit perfectly into the space. I repeated this process til the strip got the perfect length. Sometimes I cut too much and the strips were too short. But then I started again with a new strip. I hope this helps :)

Hi Cheryl, nice to see you again :) That's a great idea! Thank you very much for your advice 🥰 Actually when I was younger I crocheted something very similar like this as a wedding gift for someone. But that was 20 years ago. And guess what. I gave this quilling to the same person and she was very happy 🥰

I wanted to tell you that you've done some really beautiful work. I have a question: your 4 central circles, how big are they in diameter?
@AbisArtwork2 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! I knew this question would come :) The diameter of the rings can differ, that's why I didn't mentioned it. The best way to make those rings is the one I showed in the video. So they will fit perfectly. After you got the flower, wrap a paper strip around it to craft the first ring. Then make the 6 tight coils without center holes and wrap another paper strip around them for the second ring. After that make the beehives and wrap a strip around them for the third ring. Then the ring coils and craft the last ring. This way you will be sure, that the rings fit perfectly. I hope this was helpful :)

Finally you get to show your Pokemon, Abi. Congratulations ! You made a delicate and very careful work. You know? We both have the same quilling tools, except for the wooden slotted tool. 😂 I have like 20 different slotted tools, but not a wooden one. Where did you buy it?
@AbisArtwork3 ай бұрын
Actually I wanted to upload this video last year but I was waiting for the right time. I finally uploaded it :) My tools are from a basic quilling starter kit except the wooden slotted tool. The slotted tool from the starter kit had a plastic handle and it was too thin for my hands. I was always looking for a better one. I found the wooden tool in my holidays when I was in Turkey. It was a total coincidence. Thank you Isabel :)
@isabelgutierrezflores34053 ай бұрын
@@AbisArtwork It is certainly better than a plastic one, Abi. O.K. I will have to travel to Turkey to get one of those. Hahaha
