Good thing equipment got better and recording technology, etc. One will never really understand the power of VH unless one saw them live. The world is never the same after the show. EVH was a god walking among us. The audience paid homage to him as such. Even at his worst on the 2004 tour he killed live. Sammy was a really good singer live too. Him and DLR are 2 diff people. No sense in comparing. Saw then on the 2002 Sam and Dave tour. Both great. Just like seeing 2 diff bands. Even seeing DLR on a few Lo Do shows in the 90s, he brought the full experience.
