I graduated from college and really hated it. I hate using my brain for tasks that I don't care about, whereas using manual dexterity to solve a problem doesn't bother me at all. It's very real. More real than anything you will ever feel. Abraham Maslow calls it peak experiences. I don't believe anyone can have this experience. It is my belief that you have to be predisposed and have the proper temperament and life experience to reach these heights. There needs to be an innate understanding of other humans and the world they inhabit, an ability to take notice of the things other people take for granted. I call it the ability "to see the things that can not be seen".

I feel the same as Jordon Peterson, I found the monologues in Atlas Shrugged just seemed to drag on forever as though Ayn Rand was trying to indoctrinate me with her philosophy. At the same time I found The Fountainhead to be a very enjoyable book. As to the us and them situation, I hadn't thought of it like that but having had to confront myself over the evil within me and coming to the conclusion that if I had grown up under the Hitler Youth movement I would have been just as brutal and despicable as the guards in the extermination camps I see exactly what Jordon is on about. A man of incredible insights.
