This isn’t bike vs bike, it’s rider vs rider. Unless it’s the same rider. Also idc what frame, casing will eventually fuck your bike up. Not every case is the same. Different forces each time, hard to replicate the same exact impact especially in race scenarios

You should be able to roost with your normal tyre pressure with the correct technique, I’ve seen people blow tyres off their rim with like 30psi on a normal berm

That is why you buy aluminum! Why spend so much money on a weak flimsy "look nice" frames when you can't take hits with it. Basic LOGIC
@HuckHopeАй бұрын
Carbon is as strong as aluminium, the failure in this video was the adhesion to the lugs, and frame tolerances. The bike had also been through testing red bull hardline which had some brutal impacts.

I ran enduro races with my 140mm trail bike, i upgraded it to 160 front and rear and it made me realize you don't actually need 200mm on a bike for it to be fast. What bike are you running if im allowed to ask?

Лучше гнутая сталь, чем сломанный алюминий
@Entity738Ай бұрын
I hope the adrenaline masked the bike turning into carbon dust, now I'm not sure if those are carbon fiber or carbon kevlar but I'd think the latter would be the best choice with the kevlar strategically placed around stress points but its just a guess, i ride steel and aluminum with carbon being above my pay grade anyway

Kerr was just confident enough to clear the double after having succeeded the first time as the video shows. But landing that way on top just exercised way too much stress on the frame (carbon, alu or steel)
@HuckHopeАй бұрын
I don't think many bikes would have survived that. But it didn't help that he had ridden hardline on it.

Carbon is incredibly strong, in fact the tubes were completely intact. Problem with the bonding i believe.
@raineodinАй бұрын
loads of people saying carbon sucks. if you aren't in a higher tax bracket or competing at the highest levels it's not made for you lol. if they crash even without catastrophic failure they trash the bike and get a new one
