When I use the revolute command for the copy and pasted arm, Fusion gives me a warning that the selected joint type will result in conflict. This doesn't happen with the original arm. What am I missing here?

The creator really should demo these w a noob before posting. So many assumptions and unspokens present in this vid. UGH

The smallest details can cost us hours of learning like... Why are my constraints missing from the sketch palette?! I know it's simple, but figuring this out might take 30 mins... So frustrating. - *edit - 40 mins later, looks like they're just gone from the UI forever - obviously not the creators fault but this is the problem with learning software on KZfaq, even if the creator is great.

Came back for a refresher - my model requires complex geometry, so I figured I try my hand at 3D Sketch. Always good to see someone doing it in real-time. Take advantage of double-clicking sketch lines to multi-select any attached geometry - it's much faster than clicking individual lines.

How do you map decimal places to eights/sixteenths/etc? You'd never want to see a monstrosity like ".2668in"

I want to be able to sketch and snap strictly to the grid and nowhere else. How come hovering over the grid does not do this? If I go near a snap point (intersection) it will snap there but I ONLY want it to allow me to sketch this way. I am using Fusion to do pixel art by extruding sketches up to make the pixel art appear 3D with layers. This is very annoying that the snap grid isnt a true snap grid.

A little trick that I stumbled on. Whilst in sketch mode, if you turn off (un tick) constraints in the sketch pallet you can then click on a part of the sketch, be it a line, curve, point or whatever and it will show the constraints related to those objects whilst keeping the rest hidden. accessing the constraints this way makes them easier to hover over as well. Hope this helps someone down the line.

How to extrude crossing profiles as profiles, but note crossing areas? I have a circle and a gear with same diameter on the same sketch, how to select just one profile?

is there a different offline mode for paid users? I heard about some machine shops using fusion in some offline mode because they were doing government or department of defense work or stuff like that.

This has nothing to do with Fusion 360. This is about Windows operating system scaling. Who would ever do this for one application. It's supposed to be in the application.

Ive got a simple problem. I have a vertical flat surface and I put a circle at the top of the wall, and a circle at the bottom of the wall. I ran a nice arc from the center of each one and can sweep it but the ending is jagged. I just want this new tube to be flush to the wall at top and bottom on the ends where the tube meets the wall.

Hi Tyler, I am a new user and you make great and totally understanable videos, however on this browser & folder topic, Can I move a sketch folder into a new component folder? I created a model and then decided to make it a component, however my sketch folder is living in the top folder and I can not get it to move into the created component folder. (I work on a Mac but that is not the issue right?) Can you help me out?

Yeah I see what you're trying to convey here. If you want to build geometry with a lot of compound angles and/or curves, 3D sketching makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the tutorial.

This tip is perfect for me. I have been working with Fusion for a few months and have issues with fully defined sketches. I started adding constraints to make it work, but 99% of the time, my issue is that I don't have an x and y dimension back to the origin. That solves all my issues. Thank you.

Hi Tyler, could you please tell me what causes the cursor to intermittently change to a double headed arrow when it is moved over the browser or a dropdown box such as the sketch palette. I have had this problem for some time & have not yet found a solution. I see it the condition exists in this video.

The Shell command moved way too quick without enough words. Ending a sketch in progress happened but was not stated. Only an experienced person would understand that had happend. The the new sketch was quickly created without words. Then the new plane was quickly selected. All of this was pertinent to understanding how to get from the original 2D sketch to a 3D object that could be swept. If keyboard shortcuts are going to be used, please at least state what actions are being accomplished along with how they were accomplished via keystrokes which the user has no intiuitive knowledge of.

Bit labored method. 1 update every week for years and Autodesk still just does not get it do they.

Been doing this for years thinking it's probably the "amateur" way of doing it and "Surely, Autodesk has a feature for it that I just haven't bothered to find". Turns out no, Autodesk just sucks as much as they did 15 years ago.

I am currently trying to figure out how to make multiple sized cookie cutters using 1 design model in fusion without doing everything from scratch. However, whenever I scale the entire body, the height becomes off. I tick "uniform" when I scale, but the heights would differ every measure. my cutters need to have a fix height regardless of how big the entire body should be (2", 3" 4" etc), so how would I fix this?
