One more point - talk about being deceptive about the safest way to wash your car. Why would you EVER think that having TWO buckets where you take a dirty wash mitt and rub it against a grit guard (the water still totally polluted from the dirt) is safer than using several wash mitts that once used never get re-introduced back into the clean water/soap bucket. Anyone ? This guy won’t tell you that because he wants to sell more buckets. Common sense folks.

Can the Master Sealant be used on single stage paint or paint with no clear coat?

Can this product be used on top of paint that has no manufacturer clear coat or user-applied coating?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the cheaper Master Sealant option is NOT designed SOLELY as a maintenance product for coatings. It's a sealer that can be used without respect to what's underneath (correct?) and (as per it's review) it has a 6-9 month durability. On the other hand, the review of the more expensive Cosmic Spritz stated "Cosmic Spritz was designed as a maintenance product for coated vehicles". That review also states "3-6 months durability". So in this case the cheaper option of Master Sealant has longer durability than the more expensive Cosmic Spritz and can be used on cars without a coating. I'm assuming when these products make reference to "coatings" they're referring to user applied coatings and not manufacturer clear coats. Please let me know if any of this is a misunderstanding on my part.

Think about it for a sec. Most of these detail channels are set up to sell you something. Esoteric doesn’t offer a rinseless product so makes sense to bash the method. It’s a business tactic. As another person said, show a demonstration of both to prove the point. Or better yet invite someone from another detail channel and do a side by side.

How could it be used to deep clean and maintain a coating if it strips coatings off? I’m confused.

I know the video is old but I wanted to have some more answers on this topic and while I agree it's not worth to risk for $4, it's still a bad idea to throw them away to be safe but wasteful. Simply throw it into a bucket of water with some soap / microfibre cleaner and run a washing cycle (without other stuff) after you are done and simply use it for other tasks where it doesn't matter. Don't throw things away! - try to reuse it as long as possible. Your pocket and also the environment will thank you.

Hi Todd, old video but wonder if you might clarify two things. If I use Gyeon Rim, then would using their Wheel Iron remover product shortern the life of the product. Get SO much break dust on my Cayman Is CanCoat worth it, given I have loads and as I understand it, it has a limited shelf life...or am I just wasting my time. Thanks for the awesome videos!

Not trying to be funny but i have a Dewalt drill i will use to hook up some wool pads to put sealant/wax on my car. What setting? 1/2 and what torque?

You make it sound simple but for newbies like me it seems like a huge task😁 In most detailing videos, applicators and towels used are always brand new. How often do you replace with a new one or can you work with laundered ones. Are the chemicals easily washable?

Appreciate the sound advice. I started polishing a trailer at the fire department with what I now know is single stage paint. There was a lot of red paint on the polishing paid which had me a bit freaked out. Glad to know it is expected. The results so far are night and day. Years of oxidation and other dirt buildup. I can now see my reflection and can't wait to get it all done. Thanks again.

I used the Yellow MF with Sonax Perfect Finish on white paint. It looks great but obviously tough to see any haze it may or may not have left. Would you do a finishing step with White MF or foam with say Uno Pure before ceramic coating?
