I think watching fishing is boring, but catching is another thing. Without FFS you showed only catches. I don’t care either way. The fish will eventually adapt. I want it just for efficiency and for learning bass behavior. Good topic though. If everyone fishes FFS I’ll have the shallow fish all to myself.

Ffs is a great and fun tool but it has taken over too much now. The tournaments on tv are boring with the pros faces glued to the screen. Like watching people play video games for a living. Its also expensive. Before new tech would come out and shortly after a more budget friendly version comes out to enable more anglers access. It took too long before anymore to put out and keep out a decent entry level version. However it is a tool that's here to stay and the industry as a whole has evolved around it whether its good or not or we like it or not. Personally ive gotten burnt out on tournament fishing. Its no longer fun. Way too lucrative. Both regular bass boat and kayak alike because it became a race of who was willing to throw more money at their rigs. The simplicity where it was luck and skill is gone and the era of video games is here.

I stopped watching once FFS is in order. It's not as existing as it used to be.

My neighbors absolutely love it, as do most meathunters, they are draining our lakes of all the quality fish....they have BBQ'd soooo many 6,7,8 pounders 1- 11 pounder and have you every seen a 12 pound 5 oz largemouth on a Blackstone Grill...not a pretty site. Before they got FFS they couldn't catch jackshit...and now with FFS they can fish and hang with the Elites...as they eat way too many of our trophy fish... sad.

I have a bass boat and have 2D sonar. I cannot afford to get the upgrade to FFS along with a trolling motor that goes along with it. I’m too old to compete but I’m fishing old school. The sponsored guys can get all the new fangled equipment but they can have it. I’m not watching. And what’s up with the boaters license? People like me who’s had a boat for 50 years should be grandfathered in.

Old school fishing is the only way to watch bass tournaments. I'm not so into it anymore.

The cost of FFS with all the huge 18" screens is crazy for the average hobbiest. Electronics are more expensive than the boat itself. Can't compete with the guys that go all out on tech.

No doubt scopeadoping is a snooze fest to watch! To me it has no legitimacy to be allowed in tournament fishing!

I started watching bass fishing on TV when MLF started. Since FFS, I don't bother anymore. I have my own bass fishing video game for PS2.

I don't watch tournaments anymore as it lack excitement.

They need to do some in depth studdies on what it does to fisheries, if its affecting fish populations it should be outlawed like throwing dynamite in the lake. There seems to be so many anglers now days and it would be an attrocity if ffs affected fish populations. Its seems unfair to the fish we all love to play with, let them have thier hiding spots where they arent constantly molested. Its thier lake, let them have a little privacy.

I'm torn. I like it as a way to confirm what I think I already know. I'm not a fan of the staring at the screen and "teasing the cats" until they hit a lure.

Ya I don't watch fishing tournaments anymore since FFS became the dominant. May as well be watching someone on KZfaq playing a fishing video game. It may even be more interesting since there is no FFS in any game i know of .

I think FFS is absolutely fantastic for Pro Bass Leagues! Hear me out…. It has quickly become so damn boring, that I never have to make the decision to either sit around watching pros fish, or just go fishing myself. Thanks FFS, you’ve made it real easy for me to just go get more time on the water!

When I turn on a tournament and see 4 boats on a community hole, all staring at a screen at their feet. I turn it off and watch cartoons. If a tournament is at Okeechobee I know they'll be topwater fishing or punching. That's something I'll watch.

I've commented this on other's channels, but FFS needs to be its own division of bass fishing as in, have normal bass fishing and then a FFS division.

FFS is hard to watch. They eliminated A-rig. Might need to do same for ffs and TV ratings.

Like many aspects of life, technology advancements water down the richness of the experience. Would you say that ffs helps with any techniques other than open water fishing? Can’t imagine it could help much if you’re fishing thick cover along a bank.

Your first clip comparisons were frog clips vs FFS? Why didn't you use clips of Kennedy throwing the hudd on clearlake? What is the difference from watching someone going flipping down a bank or throwing a spinner bait vs watching someone use FFS? Either way, you have no idea what's happening under the water as a viewer and you're still staring at the back of their head.
