Ok I have played this game because it's different than the previous games that I have played this time I have been playing this game a lot since it's not a easy game to play but still it's really worth it just playing it

Congratulations on getting a few extra pairs of hands to help out around the place. :D Windows only let in light from the outside; placing them on an interior wall connecting two rooms has no effect. Consequently, rooms that have no exterior walls can only be lit by torches or rushlights. However, rushlights have a very small light radius and torches are a lot of extra work and extra resources (they burn straw and need to be refueled frequently), so I prefer to design my layouts so that every room can have a window. The only food that can be cooked on the peat stove is brose, which requires oat grain and clay bowls. However, the peat stove is great for heating, so it was a good investment. Once you have a bit more room available in your pantry, I suggest putting your butcher block directly in the pantry, next to the meat racks and hide storage. It will cut down on the amount of haul jobs, and keep your meat and raw hides out of the rain. Similarly, if you roof over a small area right next to your charcoal kiln, you can put charcoal and ash storage next to it so they don't need to be hauled.

A good start for your little hermit, looking forward to seeing how he gets on. :D I would suggest putting down stockpiles immediately, because by default, harvesting and gathering tasks will automatically chain into hauling the produce back to storage if there is one, which saves a separate trip to pick the stuff up later.

Sparks from fires got out, not up. It would almost certainly have been fine to put a Straw Roof over the fire, as long as nothing flammable was adjacent to the fire that could alight.

Because the stuff that is lying around goes on the ground it does not go on the shelves if you point around the shelves or tell you that is for food and medical stuff
