What a great presentation! I’ll have to take another look at my Hungary stamps. I also now want to look into how people survived under such awful inflation. Thank you.

Crazy!!!!! I can just not imagine how any postal services could eventually be executed or afforded! Mind boggling! Did the stamp collectors buying up those impossibly high rate stamps bought the stamps at face value? How did they afford it? Thanks, very interesting presentation!

New Subscriber. I enjoy your presentations. Very interesting. I'm your neighbor to the south. I come up to Winnepeg once in a while. Never thought of looking for stamp societies. Silly me.

A faster way to identify a stamp with a cellphone is with a app called: Stamp Identifier”

The Royal Mail seems to have a pretty complex pricing system. It is amazing (or sad) that illegal activities, like counterfeiting of stamps, always is present and need to be compensated for in a system. Thanks for the video and information!

Thank you! There is an app, I think the name is "Stamp identify" with which one can also identify stamps on your cell phone, but it is excellent to keep this in mind, because Google etc. is so easily and widely available.

Excellent explanation of how to use this widely available technology. It seems so obvious now I've seen the video, but it has never once occurred to me to use this for stamps!

Interesting video. Minor correction. Correos means post or mail - e.g. correos mexicanos/ correos de Mexico. Correos is also the Spanish post...

It's a great time to be a collector. I have managed to purchase so many collections of stamps I thought I would never own as a kid (introduced to stamps by my uncle). I think he would be proud of what a collection I have now ... wife has a differing opinion ;)

Thanks for the video. I aim to play about 5% catalog on larger purchases, for lots were I am spending $100 plus. Bigest purchase was about $2000 for collection cataloging at around $120,000. I will be working on these stamps for a long time to come. I guess I say this to say don't overpay. I do fill in on high value small lots or individual up to about 25% on occasion. Still seems better to save up and buy larger lots.

I got some used stamps on paper from Canada. I got one that was still on paper then glued onto another envelope plain to see but cancelled the second time around. made me laugh about how everything is mechanized

I feel ashamed of being British & collecting stamps, the royal mail are just putting out as many stamps as they can just to bring in revenue, its stopping a lot of younger collectors from collecting them as well as they cant keep up with them & cant afford them! Its exactly the same with the royal mint they are just putting out as many coins as they can now to bring revenue in & its getting ridiculous! I only have limited funds myself so I dont buy the fdc's or presentation packs anymore due to the high prices & try & get them cheaper off the secondary market, great informative video!

New Zealand Post doesn't cancel stamps any more regrettably. And they keep putting the price up as the number of people actually posting mail, is down. And you can't use stamps on parcels anymore.
