To anybody watching this video in 2.0, Rachel now has a real (albeit fairly average) anti air normal. She can now handle air approaches rather well.

Thanks for the tips man. I started playing BBTAG recently and still have to learn a lot of things. Got my ass handed by a Hilda/Yosuke yesterday so its nice to know some way to counter it

I know I'm 3 years later, but want to say something I noticed. When bouncing from 5D (example on 2:33 and 2:49), you have a bit of Airborn state, and you can throw at least j.5A while there. I tried connecting j.5B and is possible, but you have to be too perfect on timming or it won't connect. And, in the comment on 2:46 about the most on the top, the worst it gets, it also gives you more time for an input like j.5A or (an easier) j.5B. Also, if you bounce in the correct angle, you can input an Air Dash in middle of the bounce animation. I used 2 j.5A just because is easier that way. The first j.5A is just for timming, and the second is the one that you need to time correctly. Instead of an j.5A you can use j.5C but is harder to made while it also can make you dodge DPs and is more difficult to guess that you are going to do this.

Lol, it really does. I love EX Flip extensions. The damage isn't too much because it's a ki blast starter but it gives you knockdown to try and get a bigger hit so it's still nice in its own way.

I'm glad you're finding the videos useful. Unfortunately, it'll be quite a while before you can see me play. I'm very focused on exploring, fleshing out and documenting every Rachel team. It is a very time consuming task :(

Still researching the team but I like it so far. Hilda's assists really let Rachel be more aggressive than she usually can with other partners. On the flip side, Rachel's 5P and 6P are great for converting and setting up mixups for Hilda. There are a few multihitting or blockstun 5Ps like Linne's you can do it with but in general, no and if you can, the conditions are much more strict. For example, before the dash buff in 2.0 Linne's 5P didn't let you get point blank. You would have to do a max range 5A for this to be gapless.

If he whiffs 5B, he can't cancel into anything. He has to wait for the long recovery to finish

This is great, thank you for sharing! I always struggle hard against Nu, so this video is really helpful. Also, I didn't know Rachel's 5A could freaking destroy projectiles lol Does it apply to stuff like Yukiko's fans and even Jubei's assist ball thingy? I usually used the 2B, but as you know, is really slow on recovery, so it is kinda useless in many situations(at least I think).

Glad I could help. Haven't tested it specifically against Yukiko's fans and Jubei's 6P but it should work so long as they are classified as projectiles. Usually the problem with canceling out projectiles with 5A comes with multi-hitting projectiles since 5A can only cancel out a single hit. So stuff like Hyde's Orbiter and 6P are trouble

RurouniLoneWolf ah gotcha. Havent tried Jubei, but it does cancel Yukiko’s fans. The problem is as you stated, is double projectiles, so you still get hit. Still tho, this is good to know cuz close range, it can cancel projectiles used to try and zone you out.

Mario Lopez Honestly, George really isn't worth using at all in BBTAG for neutral except very specific matchup interactions. It's just way too easy to deal with him using a combination of things like Partner Skills + reaction distortions and make you waste your meter in BBTAG.
