Thanks for the detailed assembly instructions and tips. As always I am amazed by the functionality you build into these kits. Do you have a KZfaq video to recommend that tells how to paint grips to look like wood? That is one thing I can never get right. Also, pictures show a dark antiquing in the grooves of the cylinder that require some painting techniques that I need to learn so any video recommendations there?

For highlighting the groves and details, you can use regular tube acrylic paint, take some and rub it in with a cloth, and then rub it back off with a slightly damn cloth. Since it's water-based paint, most of all of it will come off on the high areas and stay behind in the low areas. Even after it dries, you can still use a wet cloth to remove more. When you're done, just spray a clear coat over the whole thing to seal it.

Its very interesting piece of weapon history thats so hated & rejected by the US Military is very cool to see it be recreated in 3D Printed form based on its rarity & condition. I highly recommend recreating the original Colt Model 1855 "Root Sidehammer" Revolver & a Experimental Dragoon Variant that inspired the creation of the 1855 Revolving Rifle. Barrel Length: 3 1/2 Inch (Standard), 8 Inch (Experimental Dragoon Model), or 20- 5/8 Inch (10 Gauge Cut Down Version) Cylinder: 5 or 6 (Remington 1858 Inspired)

Vash's gun is THE best design for a handgun ever.
@majoras_swag23 ай бұрын
It isn't, because it's break action and it can easily break if he uses ammunition that's too powerful.

@@majoras_swag2 Top-break revolvers indeed can't use very powerful cartridges. Even .38 Special would be dangerous, .357 Magnum is out of the question... However, well-made top-break revolver like Webley's are very handy. I've got a Webley mark IV; it shoots .38 S&W, but it was actually made for the British variant calibre 38/200, which reaches rather higher nozzle energies (up to 270 J). That's no laughing matter and indeed, the revolvers were pretty successful, Brits used them even in WWII. The genius of the design, though, is in accessibility. Breaking the revolver automatically ejects the chambers. They are then very easily accessible and so is the bore; top-break revolvers are much easier to clean thoroughly. And lastly, if you push the opened revolver barrel under your uniform belt, you can actually reload the thing single-handed (which is practically impossible with side-swing revolvers). That was important for usage by cavalry. So, if you're concerned with energy of the cartridge, top-breakers are sub-par indeed. But should you consider all the other benefits, top-break revolver with automatic ejection is actually a _very_ good design.
