Can you just clean the old cat? I read some post that you can soak it in paint thinner in a tub overnight then blast it with dawn dish soap and water.

So you used JB Weld over a mounting screw for your ACC sensor. You best pray that you never need to replace that sensor.

You got those panels DIRTY. wear cloth gloves!!!!!!!

I bought a new Mastertemp 400BTU natural gas (model 460736) in 2022, the control board screen layout is slightly different than the replacement eBay/Amazon control board layouts I see -- anyone know if this newer model/layout is still compatible with these replacement boards?

Hi Steve - I've purchased both an "expensive" and "low cost" aftermarket control board for my Pentair Heater - they are all rather fragile in terms of longevity. Did you low cost one last? If I can get a full year out of the $75 versions, I'd do it over and over.

This video gave me the confidence to take my catalytic converter out today.. I did learn a better way to get those back 3 bolts out.. I just took a angle grinder and cut the nuts off.. hope that helps.. saved alot of time.. since the bolts and nuts get replaced anyways... the top bolt doesn't have much room for the angle grinder.. just use a blade that is ground down smaller so you don't cut the drive shaft or the underbody heat shield.. hope this helps.. oh, and I just unclipped the O2 sensors and left them on.. that way I didn't twist them all up..

I bought my converter on rock auto. They sent the wrong gaskets, so I had to buy them from autozone. I took it to get the test, and it passed. I live in California.

However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

It says measure in AC and AC volt has two choices; 750 and 200. I have the same meter as you. But you tested a choice on the bottom. Which one is right?

I know this was a few years ago, and you probably don't have this car anymore (can't say I blame you, haha)., but did you take out the sun shade, or did it break and you had to pull it out to get the sunroof shut? I have a Focus, and one day I accidentally hit the open button with the shade closed......and the whole works got stuck. I ended up having one of my coworkers help me pull the sun shade out so I could close the sun roof. Well- that was over a year ago, and I need to get that thing back in- our heads get roasted by the sun on hot days, lol. Do I need to drop the headliner to get that back in too? #notlookingforwardtothat

You did it correct by hand cuz if you use the impact driver you have a high chance you might snap the head off. Then you have bigger problems.

I too had a sunroof problem on my 2012 MKX; the inside headliner below the glass would not seat fully to the front. The dealer quoted $3,500 to fix this. You read correctly...$3,500. After seeing this video and the effort you experienced I can see where this can be quite expensive but not $3,500. I declined the dealers quote and went to a local sunroof specialist...he hit the left button and VOILA! The headliner came forward as it should. Now my faith in the dealer, through whom I had purchased two cars, is shattered. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

Yep, just snap it back on, Phil Long Ford wanted $500.00 to fix while the ranger is still under bumper to bumper warranty, they didn't honor their fake warranty I fixed it myself for free in less than a minute

My doorbell/address light transformer showed a voltage of 18.6 from the secondary lines. It should be at 16 volts. Should I replace a new transformer?

Thanks for posting. Ours was stolen yesterday and an initial quote was $2,500 (parts/labor) for an aftermarket one from AutoZone or O'Reilly's. I'll see what other options we have.
