But I believe they are the private transfer company for Excellence Resorts and only go to those resorts. Excellence is the resort brand we like the most. I hope that helped. Thank you for your comment and watching our video. As I recall, from our experience, the cruise wasn’t like an all-inclusive type trip where you can order as much as want. It was only one entree. The breakfast was a buffet, and you could go back as many times as you wanted. Hope that that helps. Great video! I’m going back in January after 10 years, so excited! What was your experience with sand fleas/flies? My last experience was October time period and they were awful. Nothing I took to use worked (peppermint oil wipes, deet) and I came home pretty miserable from the bites. Want to prevent that this time around! Any advice?

We are going to try ERC next year in 2025 as I've read that it is more couples. And I've read that EPM has a tendency to attract larger groups. I know that this can vary depending on the time of year you go. It's a tough decision though, as EPM was my first choice as I tend to place more importance on the room, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra cost compared to ERC.

I had the exact opposite experience. I have been to EPM three times 2009, 2014, 2024. This last visit to EPM had so many groups that came for a few days and left. They were loud and obnoxious. We had a swim up in building 6, the very start of the lazy river. The main pool would fill up, so the groups spilled over to the lazy river and surrounding pools. Every day, for a few hours a day, we couldn't enjoy our deck due to the noise. We went to EPC in 2019 and it was much more quiet and peaceful. The beach is better at EPC, but the service at EPM was leaps and bounds better.

@GJonVacay Agreed! EPM has lost some of its class, thanks to some of the riffraff they allow there, lol. The groups were TOO MUCH!! The prices are so high, but if you allow people to stay for a couple of nights, it's affordable to a lot of people. That's what we found this past trip. Every couple of days, there would be a new obnoxious group in the pool outside of our room! We were at the very end of building six right at the start of the lazy river. Could you imagine trying to enjoy your $$$$$ spa service while listening to people drunkenly hoot and holler?! We couldn't even enjoy our balcony for a few hours each day! #dontmainpoolmylazyriver was my motto. We befriended a member of management, and they too miss they days when EPM catered to couples. Rumor has it that the new Excellence opening in PM is going to cater to groups 🤷♀️. We're thinking of trying ERC or Beloved.

They do have free wine and beer with dinner and lunch. There’s also some happy hours before dinner with half priced drinks. Hope that helps. We usually book a Club room because we like the private club beach and pools, plus we enjoy Magna restaurant and lounge. You’ll have a great time whether you book Club or not. We don’t get car sick, so the road conditions are really not something we noted, but I can’t remember there being an issue. Try to enjoy the Spa, it’s really nice, but unfortunately it’s not cheap. Take a walk down the beach and explore. There’s some good spots to snorkel. I have a concern, I am disabled with mobility issues, I will be flying into Punta Cana in 2 weeks, I use a wheelchair, that bus does not look handicapped accessible, is there an alternate transport for people in wheelchairs?

Although on the airport’s website it states it’s fully equipped to cater to the needs of travelers with disabilities. I assume they would have different transportation from the plane to the terminal. We loved the overall open air tropical vibe at EPC better than ERC. We also liked the layout of EPC, as the resort stretches the whole length of the beach/ocean. We really enjoyed the 2 club pools at EPC. ERC is still a very nice resort, with very good service. This is our opinion, but opinions are subjective. We did the Rhine on Viking this past November, and while the food was quite good, we're looking to do the Danube on another river cruise line that might step up the culinary offerings a notch or two (without costing us an arm and a leg to do so) -- thanks!

Thank you for watching our video and your comment. There’s one very large/long pool that stretches almost whole length of the resort, between the resort and the beach. It’s like a pool and lazy river combination. This pool is available to all guests. There’s two other pools that are only available to Excellence Club guests. Hey and great vid! I've done that bike trail & also included it with a hike up to the lookout of Cache Lake on the Track and Tower Trail - which I highly recommend. I'm an Algonquin enthusiast and have done much of the park both car and wilderness camping over the years. Being a bit older, the last 2 summers we've booked Magentewan Lake near Kearney - which is where the put-in point is. We also camped on the same lake which made it super easy, we took in a ton of gear and it was almost like car camping with only a bit more work. Should'a saw the hard-core folks when we were putting a fold-up table & anti-gravity chairs into our canoe! Wilderness experience but the car is only a few minutes away.

Awesome vid! I wish more YT'er followed your format for reviewing all-inclusive restaurants & resorts! We are trying to decide on our next resort and we both consider the food an important part. Also, I think we're neighbours as I live close to Barrie. I also do Algonquin every year but canoe camping and not car camping. I will post a comment on one of your other vids!

We were here a month or so ago and and loved our stay. The staff are extremely friendly and hard working, the grounds immaculate, the beach very clean, the ocean a bit rough but beautiful. This is a resort everyone should visit in their caribbean travels.

Resort looks great. I know it is all inclusive but what is the tipping policy. I have many stays at Sandals resorts where tipping is not allowed.

I don’t think your experience will be any less if you don’t tip, but I would think any tipping would be appreciated. We are currently staying at excellence until Thursday. I can tell you that overall magna has lost place from where you rank it. Magna breakfast is awful. Service is awful. The grill has definitely stepped up since your video. Service is excellent and the ribeyes are wonderful. The kitchen table is subpar at best. The overall resort is a 2 out of 5. I would stay elsewhere.

The Toronto Christmas Market is the closest to where we live, and is consider a top Market, but wouldn’t be as good as the Christmas markets in Austria, Germany and Belgium. Just returned from Majestic Mirage Punta Cana. I would rate their restaurants lower than what you found at Excellence. We may try Excellence next year.
