The thing with AI is that it's not ethical at the moment, that's why a lot of artists are against it. It's sourcing all images from internet WITHOUT THE ARTISTS' CONSENT, learning from it, and copying it. Some people use it to generate an image in the style of a well-know artist on IG (for example) then post that as their own, and that is just plain plagiarism. Some people use it to make a version of a song using another artist's voice which is completely rude to the original artist. As a creative, you should really research on this before saying that it's not harmful and just a "part of the creative process." It's completely different from photography, etc.

My only problem with AI is that as an artist posting images online, many AI softwares will take existing art from the internet to “learn”. This is not an issue, except with that many artists and creators are not asked for permission to use this work, and unfortunately at least commercially AI is not yet at a place where it can take this work and create something completely unique. Which for learning purposes could be fine, but once these images that are suspiciously similar to existing art, are sold and used for profit then it becomes unethical. I do think AI has a place in art and in life, but we have to build very specific guidelines for how we use it creatively. For example have a monetary incentive for sharing your work to AI companies. And it doesn’t have to be huge but artists I think should receive some sort of compensation for their work being used in that way
