It could be a combination of a few things. How much Ram does your computer have? Are you using 4K footage? How long is your sequence? Are the media cache files on your computer, or are they place on an external hard drive?

I don’t know why but my première 23 makes everything yellow, let me add effects without red lining. But 2024 sucks so badly, everything makes the timeline goes red… this is the issue, render timeline is meant not to be nescessary

do you know why my rendering takes almost two hours no matter what settings i have it under? I made proxies and everything, it is 6k footage and even with the proxies the rendering takes upwards of an hour and a half 🫤 and when i went to encode it, it said ten hours !!! please help 😭🙏🏼

@@esme2199 Is there any lag in playback in the timeline? If this is only a rendering (exporting issue) I would try to export it on hard drive and export it through media encoder.

@@SaintSaxonCreative3 no lag! and everything is on the hard drive already, I had tried to export it on media encoder, but it said ten hours which is outrageous

What are format are you exporting it as MP4, Quicktime? What bitrate are you exporting it as?

Whenever I use this process and render in to out, it takes over 40 minutes to render two short clips. I'm using an M3 Max MacBook Pro so there shouldn't be any reason for it to take this long - any advice or thoughts?
@SaintSaxonCreative33 ай бұрын
It could be a combination of a few things. Are you using 4K footage? How long is your seqeunce? Are the media cache files on your computer, or are they place on a hard drive? How much Ram does your computer have? If you are applying effects to multiple clips I would use an adjustment layer and place the effects on the adjustment layer. I would also try lowering the playback resolution in the program monitor.
@xlukewitter3 ай бұрын
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 Thanks for your reply! I'm using roughly 1 minute of 4K 4:2:2 H.264 footage shot in S-Log 3 on my Sony A7IV. My computer has 32GB of ram and my media cache files are on my computer. I notice the problem occurs when I use an instance of Luma Key, Channel Blur, or Gaussian Blur effects - as soon as I place these effects on my clip, or on an adjustment layer, the playback goes red. I've read that these are GPU intensive effects, and my Premiere is set on Mercury Playback Engine Accelerated GPU, so not sure why it's having such an issue with playback and rendering.
@xlukewitter3 ай бұрын
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 After some further trial and error, I've figured out that the problem only arises when I add the channel blur effect for halation. As soon as I add it to either my clip or my adjustment layer, the entire area that it's effecting turns red and I can no longer get playback.
@SaintSaxonCreative33 ай бұрын
@@xlukewitter Copy. What I would do is.. Lower the playback resoulution to either 1/2 or 1/4 in the program monitor. Go the Premiere Pro -> Setting -> Media Cache, then place your media cache files on a hard drive so that you will be able to render faster. I would also look into the process of creating Proxies of your media.

Probably a dumb question but When would I want just a black video on my timeline?
@SaintSaxonCreative35 ай бұрын
I mainly use it as a placeholder in my sequence. Lets saying I am working a video that has be exactly 30 seconds. As I am creating my video I would sometimes add black video between the clips, so that I know that I need to add another shot in between them.

I have one problem. Of course your method fixes the red line issue, but whenever I change or add something in that sequence, the red line comes back. Is there a way to import media so that it wont turn red in the first place?
@SaintSaxonCreative35 ай бұрын
Are you putting effects on the clips and then moving the clips around in the timleine? If so that is why the red line is coming back. If you are applying effects to multiple clips I would use an adjustment layer and place the effects on the adjustment layer. What kind of media are you working with? If it is 4K footage, try lowering the playback resolution in the program monitor.
@maximilianhofer23495 ай бұрын
@@SaintSaxonCreative3 Yep it's 4k footage. Thanks for the information I will try the adjustment layer and the playback resolution as I didn't know that that could cause a red line. Thank you so much!

I shoot stock video. I usually shoot with the idea that I will use the clios for a short video. How do I unnest the color graded clips
@SaintSaxonCreative35 ай бұрын
To unnest the clip.... Go to your nested sequence and double-click on the nested clip. This will open up the clip in a separate sequence. Copy the clips that are in the separate sequence. Then go back to the nested sequence and paste the clips in the nested sequence. You can also copy and paste it into a new sequence as well. This is a great question! I will make a tutorial on this.

But what if i move it around after rendering the selection?
@SaintSaxonCreative35 ай бұрын
Set an In point at the beginning of your timeline and an Out point at the end of your timeline. Then go to the Sequence tab and click on "Render Effects in to out" or you use the keyboard shortcut "Return" on a Mac or "Enter on a Windows Computer while in the timeline panel.
