Great chat, thanks for the time to put it together. I really resonated with the training and how it can be completely different, week on week, depending on life and i've always struggled following plans or having a coach, will give it a look!

nice show peeps. Ricky's lug obsession shoudl be a regular feature! I am intrigued by the moustache progression too. I'm off to do the TMB in a week and wont shave for 5-6 days (we are taking it leisurely), so feel like if enough grows then maybe I can have something lols!

Always love the insights from you. Interesting about the hype building interest around western states. I consumed a lot of that media and live stream myself. Also interesting about super shoes potentially being the reason people are getting faster. I also think it could be a part of the reason for bigger training loads without injury and leading to fast racers at the long distances. Thanks for the show! ❤

Hi mate thanks for review. It always cracks me when someone runs 30 miles and speaks about the shoes. Not sure if you read your reviews or no. Funny thing you mentioned Mutant and Akasha shoes both I had ran both ran over 800k in both of them, flattening the logs and sadly destroying upper. Would you say that Tomir durability in respect La sportivas ?
@irunovermountains
@irunovermountains Ай бұрын
I hear ya 🫡 I think Nnormal build quality is close to La Sportiva, maybe even better. I’ve run several pairs of Mutants & Akasha, but I’ve never had Kjerag or Tomir volume out of them. That said, Sportiva are WAY better on rocky terrain than the Nnormal shoes. I wouldn’t switch if you’re happy. I’ve actually been running tons in my Mutants this year.

Have loved following his efforts for the past few years. Thanks for doing this interview, i agree with others that I would love to see him in a race. He has good reasons to stick with FKTs and trying to spread the idea that they are races in and of themselves, but it does make me curious how he'd do!

I’d love to see Jack line up at a competitive race. He’s a conundrum. He exists competitively, purely in the FKT realm but comments and follows the traditional professional race/racers. From what I see most FKT enthusiasts are reclusive and private, but Jack seems to enjoy the public eye and sharing his experience and opinions. All this to say I selfishly want to see him race against this generation best.

Shame everyone’s bothered about the prime bottle aha - ‘another marketing ploy by a brand no involved in the sport’ - McDonald’s literally sponsors football/soccer leagues, it’s just how marketing works. Plus the nobody in the naff Norda tee trying to act woke; ‘just do it for the sake of doing it’, yet you’re bothered about what people are doing. Take your own advice and just do you aha. Just another old boy trying to act hip, hoping for a mention by Jerry Sun for wearing pre ripped garments to go for a jog. Also, what the fuck is a ‘soul runner’ 😂😂😂😂 you just smash shrooms and think you’re cool. 16yr old stuck in a 40yr olds body aha Big ups to the host giving his 100% honest perspective of it and not folding to the panel 👌👌

This “show” is shit😂… bunch of pretentious nobodies, acting like middle school bullies. “Adults” worried about what other people are wearing is clinically childish. I’d be ashamed to even record something like this, but to post it… shameless. Bunch of children.

Originally I came here from Andy Glaze’s video to defend him, but now, I’ve just got to say that dude in the top right is such a hater. Why break people down? Intentions of these branded experiences are to ultimately put money back into your community and to cater to an audience unfamiliar with the sport. Not everything is about winning.

Yeah you’re right it was nothing to you with you and “your” sport whatever that means. Whatever the women was talking about, it not being relevant so she doesn’t care, with that logic anyone who dresses up for charity or just for fun is the same? Stop grabbing at bigger people to make yourself bigger. Blonde guy with the black hoodie has it right

I love the Tomir 1.0. Such a solid shoe for running in the mountains. Amazing traction, excellent lockdown, stability, and comfort. I am on my second pair and the first pair is still going strong after 400 miles. IMO the 1.0 is better than the 2.0.

Bahahah what a bunch of gatekeeping bullies. Lulu also makes some of the best lined running shorts around. And as far as Paul’s effort being clickbait, anyone with a brain and the internet would have been able to see that he was in no way going to break the record based on his training. If people donated without taking any time to look into who this guy was or what he’d done, that’s on them. Red hat boy saying the event wasn’t meant for males to enjoy simply bc it was female facing forward. Seems like a great dude all around. 🫏 why is this dude so mad about lululemon? Shouldn’t we be psyched that more and more brands are offering trail running apparel options? “You’re a grown ass a man” lol bro you’re a grown ass man judging another man for having fun. This guy calling someone else a douchebag is ironic af
