Great modification! I need to do something similar to our old John Deere manure spreader but for compost...any other changes you did to yours to get a more consistent even spread? Was thinking a sifter basket underneath in addition to the leveler you added to yours...Please advise.

All I heard on the audio was "GREASE ME! GREASE ME! GREASE ME! GREASE ME!" 😁 kudos for trying to keep it in use, but I can see the problem of trying to get the apron speed slow enough.

Your video is a great reminder of the value of patience and perseverance. It takes a lot of time and effort to grow and harvest melons and oranges, but the end result is so worth it. And the fact that you're able to make a living by selling them at the market is even more impressive. Keep up the great work! And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.

What machine did you have prior to this demorino?

We used a simple undercutter bar - there's a video of that here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9uRgpCB2L7WpGw.html

A very good harvester, but your going to fast in your tractor. You might need a lower half geared gear box.
@ClemsOrganicGardens11 ай бұрын
Agreed, maybe some day I'll get a tractor with a lower gear...
@ypeveldhuis45278 ай бұрын
Are you sure you need to run the engine so fast? Experiment with half throttle and see what it does with the crop, even that may be more than enough. It may save you buying another tractor too.

Cool, thinking outside the box! Did rear cultivator last year, not too precise for organic. This looks pretty good!

I just recently bought a 140, can i ask you a few questions in terms of proper care and maintenance of it? And also general operation? It's my first "old" tractor and I want to run it right!

With perennials, if you keep up on it and kill them as soon as they resprout, they'll use up their stores energy and die off.

Try a few different types of crops together in the cover. Like add in some hairy vetch and clover... I think you’ll see a difference then too rather than just mono cropping the cover

Use a fin straightener from any ac supplier.

Awesome video and setup! Have you thought about doing solar setup on top of top of one or both of those trailers with a large battery bank? The initial investment would be pricey, but with your set of skills (able to wire up the panel and wiring, etc.), you would easily be able to setup the panels/charge controllers/inverters/etc.. With those 4 25k BTU units, it may pay itself off pretty quickly. As an FYI regarding those bent fins on the 2 refurb AC units, nothing to worry about there. The difference those fins will make in heat dissipation will be minimal, I highly doubt it would make a degree of difference. If it does bother you, they sell cheap little tools that are super simply to use to straiten those fins right up, search amazon for "Fin Straightening Tool " and you can see for around 10 bucks you can get the tool that fits multiple fin gaps. I used a similar one on a car AC condenser and it worked great. Thanks for sharing!

Nice harvester,where did you buy it
@ClemsOrganicGardens5 жыл бұрын
I bought it from Roeters Farm Equipment in Michigan. It's an old machine (from the 50's?) that's been restored.
