If you get one and add fake blood, be care to not add too much. It will hurt worse when it hits someone, if it gets heavy.

It worked very well. Nice job. I feel writers back in the day put more effort to make jokes actually funny and laugh tracks was icing on the cake. These days they got lazy and just say anything & use laugh track to cover for it Similar to the state of hip-hop music today relying on beats more than lyricism . The last good show that had a laugh track and the jokes was actually funny to me was Two and a Half Men with Charlie

There is no reason to use a heavy effect like rotobrush. You can create a new solid and then set it as an adjustment layer for your plate (that's your footage), or you can go Layer>set matte if you want to use roto from a solid that is not directly above your plate. Use circles for the eyes and then make a holdout matte for your eyelids and eyelashes. You can precomp your circular iris roto solid with your eyelid solid and subtract your eyelid from your iris in the precomp and then use that precomp as a matte for your plate. Remember: roto is time consuming and takes patience, but do it right the first time and you won't have to go back and do it again.
@studio2magic
@studio2magic 25 күн бұрын
Yes, this method is an alternative to the traditional roto that can give some decent results with less time.
@magusofthebargain
@magusofthebargain 25 күн бұрын
I would never recommend using Screen, always Add. Light is additive. Real light is additive, magical light is additive, light in a dream sequence is additive. Screen is just incorrect maths. There is one good use for the Screen setting, and that is combining roto mattes if you have two alpha channels that should have been one channel. Then you use Screen, but in your RGB channels, just use Add in After Effects (or merge: Plus in nuke)

rotobrush is fine for temp work, but for final compositing, you'll need to do some actual roto if you want your shots to pass tech check at a major studio.

True. The mask tracking could assist in that also.

The camera shake is awful on The Office. So bad that it's unwatchable. Can you stabilize the footage? No laugh track please. I don't know if you can do much to fix the zooms in and out. Maybe this show is a lost cause, but I'd like to see a few scenes stabilized.

It would be very interesting to see how the show is changed with stabilization. I might have to do that sometime.

you would have to digitally remove the leg, then add the robot leg with cg. it's pretty involved, but maybe I can make a tutorial about it.

where did you get the gun with kickback?
@studio2magic
@studio2magic Жыл бұрын
It's an Airsoft gun with blowback. I had to modify it slightly to make it fire even when it's unloaded. I bought it at in actual airsoft store, but they are available online. I never load the BB's into it, to make sure no one accidentally gets shot.

@@AcaciaLovesFilm I put a piece of a toothpick in the gun clip so that the spring that pushes the BBs up, never reaches the top, so it always stays in a "loaded" state. There is a slider on the spring and I put the toothpick piece on top of it. This link should be a picture of it. cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1040437719786082328/1094861168478273556/IMG_4853.jpg
