Worked at the old County Hotel in Wellington Square 1976-78 loved my time in Ayr have revisited many times and taken both my daughters. I hope it gets back to its glory days

The name is Welsh, but none of the crew knew anything about it. "Myfanwy" is a woman's name, and one of the most beautiful love songs ever written in Welsh is about a woman called Myfanwy. So it has a nioce name too.

The monument at 1.08 - I've now found in out it's a lime kiln - "Built into the bank here is a limekiln which retains its decorative features. Local farmers needed lime to fertilise their fields but Ceredigion is the only county in Wales which has no limestone of its own. Limestone and coal were carried by sea to Wallog and other places along the Ceredigion coast. The stone was loaded through the top of the kiln and burned.
