And 1 of the LFOs can become OSC 3, so there's your memorymoog AND don't you think that SUPER 6 allowing the blending of of Hybrid Analog with with the Digital waveforms would give Super 6 depth not achievable in PolyBrute? And don't you think the SONIICS in sSuper 6 are just MAGICAL? So Hi-Fi! I don't own one, so I'm just guessing.

Update: my Pocket did indeed develop the dreaded crack, but thankfully Analogue repaired it quickly. It took about 6 weeks from the first time I contacted them to getting it shipped to them; then another 2 weeks to get it back repaired. Overall I still love the Pocket and highly recommend it.

Polybrute sounds much better IMO! Also Arturia are trying their best for their customers! I respect this very much!

I had the Polybrute for 3 years now and I never had the issue where you turn it ON and you only have one led flashing. Unfortunately I think that those who have it probably have a hardware problem that is somehow corrupting the firmware and makes the Polybrute boot in firmware update mode.

that's what I thought too. the 3.0 firmware seems to have solved it though. I've had no issues since updating.

That's a nice use of the looping envelope, I'd mostly been using it on aggressive leads instead of pads. On pads I was sort of using the LFO like a looping envelope with some of the digital wave shapes though. But definitely not quite the same character of sound!

Just bought the green edition last Friday from their website, it sold out so fast! By the end of the day only the pink version was left and even that was sold out by 9 or 10 pm. Got very lucky. It’s going to be here this week and I cannot wait. Great review.

I am happy to report that V3.0 seems to be more stable. I have had zero crashes since installing it. Also shoutout to Arturia who offered to fix it after I reported my crashing issue and even paid for shipping. Great customer service and pleasant to work with. The software (Polybrute Connect) also seems vastly improved after the patch.

Good video, love my ‘brute !. Never personally had any software problems on mac / win11, nor have i ever needed to reset it with the software. I’m on a few polybrute forums and cant say it’s a widespread issue so maybe just a faulty unit here and there…. I assume you’re up to date with firmware etc.

over a year now with it , but no firmware issues so far (knock on wood), is been a breeze. The software (Polybrute connect vst) does at times get lost or stuck on a patch and wont take changes anymore from the VST, prompting me to replug the USB to "resync" it, so that is my issue so far with it. Otherwise, the rest of it is bang on just like the video; Superb instrument!

Just for the record, I have a Pollybrute 18 months. After the last update. I don’t get any issues. Maybe you should try installing the firmware again 🤔 Also, you have to be careful with the MIDI in and thru if they’re all connected and you’re using USB, it’s good to select different channels for in and out If you have a multiple set up otherwise you get a loopback in the midi. I also had an issue with the hold button staying on After the last update that was fixed. Maybe you have a dodgy one 🤔

You should give the motion recorder a chance. I mostly use it for morphing. I‘m also a player and like to keep both hands on the keys. Furthermore, you can record sophisticated morph patterns that you can never reproduce manually.

@@clamberryI hope you have because it’s amazing, use it to create custom envelopes and LFOs with the ribbon and morphee, and even aftertouch. For example with the ribbon, just hit record, then hold down a note and just move your finger back and forth at varying speeds/distance from the center point for as long as you want. Release the note to stop recording. The result is a custom lfo with varying speed, amplitude and shape. Then set up mod routings with ribbon as the source.

Some great observations! There are USB MIDI issues in Windows 10 (leftover from XP!) that people won’t admit to - in fact, some will tell you they don’t exist - that affect more than just Arturia’s products. Microsoft finally admitted to their own MIDI shortcomings and addressed them in Windows 11 (and further addressed in November of 2022, but only in Windows 11). I also agree about the short key travel. I became really spoiled by the keybed on the Korg Kronos that I owned and gigged with until just a couple of months ago. This one feels like the Keylab mkII. I’ll get used to it. It’s a small price to pay for the rest of the functionality and awesome sound the Polybrute can deliver.

@@clamberry Microsoft's fix is not complete, though. It requires manufacturers to update their drivers to take advantage of the new solution, so devices with outdated drivers will continue to see the same problems they always did. Technically, the latest version of Polybrute Connect is not new enough to take advantage of the updated Windows USB MIDI routines, however, you updating to Windows 11 may have cleared out enough registry cruft to allow the older routines to work for you.

That firmware issue is pretty bad, but I have a worse story. When the firmware upgrade on my Hydrasynth got stuck in the middle of running, it actually bricked the synth and I had to send it back to the factory to be fixed! I'm actually a little scared of having to do it again... :(

ita amazing how many people pronounce deluge with the g sounding like a j . its pronounced just like the olympic winter sport luge not luje . trivial but annoying . actually a bit hypocritical of me as im semi illiterate and don’t care about punctuation . im just glad you put that in your video . nice work.

I've had my Deluge nearly 4 years, got the OLED update installed (and some general servicing done at the same time - I'd been rough on the gold knobs). I've got over 200 hundred songs in there, diverse sample libraries, weird drum kits, chill jams. I think the OLED screen is awesome for the enhancements it brings to the machine. Things like readability, lowered cognitive overhead, and the easier navigation have really transformed the experience for me. BTW, have you tried arranger mode yet?

I think the oled screen will help primarily with browsing samples and presets. The main parameters are all mapped through the shift keys plus the main matrix, which prevents much of the menu diving which i see you do in this vid. Anyway, nice vid!

The visual node connection and your volume mixer would be a very nice addition to this wondermachine! And because we have an oled screen now, this screen could also visualise the adsr curves when editing and an option to edit the waveforms in this screen...why not?
