I found the solution for Friedrich kuhl ac. How to wake your ac that nothing works except the power light is on. All you need to do is have your usb flash drive plug in to your computer and make sure all the files are out of the folder in your flash drive. Before you plug to the ac unit follow this instructions and wala you got your ac back in your control. HOW TO BRING THE UNIT BACK TO LIFE • Get somebody else to help you- you may need an additional set of hands when plugging the unit back in while holding the buttons as instructed. • Ensure that the User Interface Cable connections are good. Unplug power cord from outlet • Insert the Friedrich flash drive into the USB cable. • Insert the other end of the USB cable to the Micro USB port. (Ensure that it is secured. Do not move during program uploading). • Grab the flash drive and keep an eye for the green light in the ring of the flash drive. • Simultaneously press the 3 Buttons Code (FAN Mode, Fan Speed, and Up Arrow) and don’t let go. • While pressing the 3 Button Code, have the other person plug in the power cord. (Ensure that the reset button is not pressed on the plug). • When the green light turns on, let go of the 3 buttons. It will blink for a few seconds; this indicates the program is loading. • When the light goes off, the unit should already be back to life. • Unplug the USB cable. • Test the buttons for responses.

I bought one; when I open door to my apt. it's like an ice box in here. Amazing the cold air this thing puts out. It is a work horse; ok it aint as quiet when its really hot because it has to work harder, but who cares ??? It works, and it works better than any A/C I have ever owned. The heat pump on mine have not tried it yet because I just got it this summer. If you have poor insulation I recommend you go with more BTU's to offset the heat coming in. My GE that costs over $800 did not cut it. This thing is a MACHINE !!! Going to buy a Friedrich PTAC for small office next year (Lord willing) !!! I had never heard of them until I clicked on sylvane.com, which is also good.

She's correct in that the compressor vibrations are dampened away to almost nothing if properly installed. However, the fan is very loud on the lowest setting. There was a discontinued Sharp model years ago which was truly library quiet. This is 10s of dB louder than that. Nearly too loud for sleeping, but hey, I spent $800 and caulked the thing in my window. I can't exactly return it now.
