One of the best UK Typhoon displays for me. Seen some beauties but the use of climb rate for me made this stand out. Thanks for posting, really enjoyed it. I was on my way out of the base when this came on :(

Thank you Paul, Yes, 2015 was a good typhoon display. Also check out my cosford display, Low cloud and a tighter display due to the shorter crowd line. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n750fM5lxseVZ3k.html

Needs 4 engines why?...can't it operate under ETOPS with two engines? It'll be expensive to service and fly I expect. If I were a nation interested in the best, I'd have my cash ready for P-8's.
@mikotokoro91364 жыл бұрын
It can opperate with 2 engines just fine. But they wanted 4 engines for higher survivability since it will be operating low in open oceans

There is a good reason - this is a machine for warfare, not for counting profits. In which plane would you rather be in a hostile shooting war over the Pacific ocean - one with two engines or one with four engines? Wisdom is profitable to the wise.

Wow, no way in hell I would want to be driving the 27 or one of the spinners. We had that little spinner taking down a PSA flight in San Diego then a Aeromexico DC-9 taken down by a single spinner Piper over Cerritos, CA. Collisions no matter how slight are nasty

The Nimrod ocean patrol aircraft (AWAC) a variant of the Comet 4 has got one set of very hot brakes. Have you ever noticed the huge wipers like those on the Nimrod, I've never seen any aircraft sporting such a heavy duty setup.I would have loved to see this show. I see a Tri-Star let's get that baby moving.

Why not make a cruise missile carrying Herc? Invent some kind of launcher to go inside the back because a Herc will carry more (cruise missiles) and fly further than any fighter..........

So if UK has to defend itself it'll have to beg the enemy not to attack runways, otherwise UK will not be able to respond its it's squadron of brand-new 'state-of-the-art (very expensive) aeroplanes. Luckily we can (theoretically) call on USA to come to our aid.
