Spiders climb walls, make the roof out of blocks that not fall (sand is like one of only 3 that fall) their houses is made of sandstone, the one under the sand but higher then just stone, it also only spawns in desert or beach

The only use drinking milk has is to counteract against when you get poisoned. Useful to have, but not an absolute essential item to carry around with you. If you place 4 granite, andesite or diorite blocks in the crafting table in a square configuration, you can turn it into a polished form. These look good when making floors or walls. You can do the same with cobblestone, but you have to place it in a furnace. Once to make stone and a second time to make smooth stone. Again, useful for making buildings with.

When placing steps the game wants you to do it from the bottom up. But, if you have to work from the top down, then aim for the bottom of the last step you put in. If you aim toward the top, it'll put the step in upside down. Logically, if you want the step to lead down you aim for the bottom half of the step in the direction you want it to attach to. Leaves only float in the air if they have a piece of wood attached to them. Once the piece of wood is gone, the leaves will slowly disappear and sometimes drop sticks, apples, (if they're oak trees.. don't ask), or more importantly saplings of the tree type in question. These are useful as you can plant trees to replace the ones you cut down, so you shouldn't run out of wood. Not that, that's going to happen anyway, considering the number of trees there are in the world!

That Creeper's sudden appearance got me. I nearly jumped out of my chair. Your placing of the water from the bucket was on top of the wheat that was growing, rather than inside the hole you dug, unfortunately. It doesn't matter, though. There's plenty of grass around that you can hit with anything you like and there's a chance of getting more wheat seeds from it. Spiders during the daytime won't attack you unless you attack them. If you get 2 sheep and feed them both, they'll reproduce.

The one major disadvantage of building your base on top of a hill, (or even part of the way up one), is that you're quite a way above the sea level. Which means you're not only a fair distance away from a water source, (unless you're extra lucky and find an underground lake/stream), but also that iron only becomes abundant below sea level. So, you have to dig down quite a way before you get to any significant amounts to be able to make anything. I can think of a couple of reasons why placing a layer of dirt over that, 'pit', is a bad idea. It creates a dark place where mobs can spawn, so you're going to be driven mad by the sound of zombies and skeletons almost constantly and there's a good chance they'll be close enough to not allow you to go to bed. Secondly, there's a good chance you'll forget the pit is there, (once the grass grows back), and you'll inadvertently dig a hole in it and risk falling down into it. But hey, let's look on the bright side! That Creeper was just waiting for you to leave your gate open. You were trapped once he got inside. Luckily, he didn't unalive you in the process, and only left a big hole where your garden once was! You were asking about what to do with all that dirt you've got. Well, it comes in handy in such circumstances to fill in holes like the one left by the Creeper. We've all been there where we feel like rage quitting when we suddenly lose everything. It is a pain, for sure. But, you soon do the necessary to carry on. Sometimes, it's best to take a break for a few hours and come back to it with a fresh perspective.

Makes windows out of glass blocks = noob level 1 unlocked. 😁 Don't worry, though, we've all been there. Priorities are to sort out your own food source, (although you can pinch it from the villagers at no cost), and to seek out iron to make serious tools, weapons and armour. For now, you can make tools and weapons from stone, but they're not as durable or long-lasting as iron ones. Coal and a good supply of wood helps, as you need torches if you're going to go mining. It's dark down there and full of horrible creatures who want to un-alive you. But, to find iron it's a necessary evil to go underground. If you go deep enough you can even find diamonds which are even more durable than iron.

@@Emilyswrld The only problem with watching a video series that are months, (or even years), old is that you don't tend to notice the fact until after you've commented on them. And, of course, time has moved on and the noob that once was, is no more! I'm presently catching up on your videos and have noticed you're beginning to get to grips with what's required to become a competent player. A fun experience. 😊😊

Stairs can be a real bugger, can't they? Face the direction you want them to go, then they'll start to behave themselves for you. I started playing in 2011 but it took me a while to be able to build a good roof. Nowadays I do these elaborate, complicated ones that I usually regret halfway through, lol!
