I def love this tutorials! and they seem pretty easy, others take a lot of things I can barely keep it going with. ALTHOUGH! I wonder, this can work to make it a VRChat avatar as well? that is my main reason why I look for blender tutorials and like I said, this is the best one so far, but as well I want to know if it can work for something like using it for vr games and stuff

As someone who's new to Blender, these tutorials have been really helpful! However, I've tried a few tutorials to rig my model, and none of them have worked that great. I'm always stuck with pieces of the model being stretched wonky. If anyone is able to help, or link a tutorial that worked for them, I'd greatly appreciate it!

You dont have to turn on Xray to see your reference. There is an option in the object properties for the reference image to always display it in front, you can even turn the opactiy up and down how you prefer it.

1:20 Head - literal aids. I recognize im an idiot but there is not enough detail here and for whatever fuckin reason the mirroring isnt working and selecting all of one side doesnt seem to work either.
@atoupik
@atoupik 4 күн бұрын
The mirroring might not work because you're not working on the same axis as he does Per default, it mirrors on the x axis, however if the x axis is the one you're looking from, it'll seem like nothing is happening, but if you click on Y, it should create a correct mirror

Legitimently one of the most helpful tutorials (not just for blender, but for anything) on KZfaq. I've really enjoyed the process of learning character modeling and texture painting from this vid!

Hello, I really admire your work. I noticed that your render colors are consistent in both the solid and material preview windows. Could you please advise if there are any steps I might be missing in my rendering process? I strive to make my work as perfect as yours. Thank you for your assistance. I’m not very good at English, so I apologize if there are any grammatical errors.

In the Adobe Animate program, there is the Symbol and Nested Symbol feature, which speeds up work very much, and I did not find anything similar to it in other programs. Is there a similar feature or ability in Grease pencil ?

Awesome tutorial, thanks! I’m beginner and don’t understand a lot of things , but can we export this model in game engine with this “flat” effect? Without shadows I mean. I see your game on Itcho and models look great! May you give an advice about export models and backing texture?
@lacruzo
@lacruzo 5 күн бұрын
Thanks! I usually export my models either as an .fbx or .gltf. For the flat effect, the method depends on the engine but there’s typically an option to set the material as “unshaded” or “unlit” in order get that look

Sorry to bother but how would you do a character spiky hair? I have no clue how to do them
@lacruzo
@lacruzo 15 күн бұрын
A simple way would be to extrude some of the individual square faces on the hair and then merge those new vertices in the center to create a spiky point.
@Finding_Arcadia
@Finding_Arcadia 9 күн бұрын
Alternatively you could "poke" the faces and pull that vert out, but really that's pretty much just the same thing lol

How do you learn where to shift vertices to while modelling?
@lacruzo
@lacruzo 15 күн бұрын
It's something that comes with a little experience, the more that you model, the more you get a feel for what looks right. It also helps to study other models to see what works and how you could apply that in your own work.

How's this pen tablet holding up now after 8 months? Also, if you have this thing hooked up to a laptop can you also jump the cursor to your main monitor and toggle between two monitors, like i can with my current Wacom tablet?

Hi Lacruzo! Thanks for the vid! I was wondering if you could help me out a little? For some reason when I turn on x-ray mode, I can't see through the objects to the ref. Am I missing a setting or something? Edit: Bruh nvd, after like half an hour of clicking I finally got it to work, no idea what I did. ;(
