Sick build! My wife and I were between doing something like this or a smaller truck camper that goes in the truck bed. Opted for the truck camper for the same reason you built the van this way- easy to convert back to normal lol. If we were to switch to a van, this is exactly what we'd do!

I put a rare earth magnet 2” inside the ceiling seat belt cover to keep the belt neat and out of the way, hot glue it in towards the rear than stuff the unused part of the belt inside the slot and put up the buckle o the magnet.

Love it, My husband and I also have gmc safari, we are converting into what you guys have done, and will be going to the yukon and alaska with it. Can't wait, we live in Canada.. But Love your idea with the curtain rod, to hang storage bags on it..

You've done your campervan out nicely ~ wouldn't it be safer tho to leave the drivers seat empty, so if you needed to drive of in a hurry, you could. Just a thought. Because there are some weird people out there. Stay safe on your journey.
@asavag34 ай бұрын
That's a good point. With the awning and everything else, I don't think there is a good way to leave in a hurry. We had a few other ways of protecting ourselves from the crazies hidden in the vehicle. Cheers!

Excellent how to! Thanks for the video. I just got this board and I’m having some sound coming out of the back hubs and found this to be super helpful. Thanks again now I know what to fix.

Is that the permanent location of your water container? Doe the slider door close properly with it there? What brand is it? I have searched high and low and have yet to find one that fits, they're always too thick. Thanks
@asavag3 Жыл бұрын
That's where we keep our water container. The Ozark Trail jug at Walmart is the skinniest one we could find. To get the door to close, we have to squeeze some water out of the jug to fit, but the door does close.

Thank you so much you're right no one made a video like this I have the teamgee h20 mini and they sent me the 80 mm wheels so I have to buy 90 mm hub motors and put them on to attach my off-road wheels I feel like I got screwed and sent an older model because on the website they're marked as 90 mm but I did not get them only 80
@asavag32 жыл бұрын
Damn! Sounds like they did you dirty. Sorry to hear that man.
@the420growtent2 жыл бұрын
@@asavag3 the one they sent this time came with the 90 mm I got lucky happy better than expected even got the new controller and the only complaint I have is the braking is a little more stiff

That single tiny black wire is probably for the receiver to communicate with the remote.

What happens if the little black grounding wire breaks?

Where did it break at? I would try fixing it by either soldering or splicing.

great info Andy! just picket one up last month and cant get the battery to charge. I took it apart and bypassed the charging connector with small cat5 wire and now on the remote it shows 3 out of 4 bars, before it was no bars on the board battery. have not put it back together yet because the charger power block only shows green indicator light. Do you have any info or experience with charging the board or the charger?
@asavag32 жыл бұрын
That's strange. So the charger shows the green light, but the board isn't charged? Is there any debris on the contacts?

Lol well my h20t battery took a dump but I found an h5 for 100 bucks, no remote but my h20 should pair with it shouldn't it? Same seahorse remote they sell on the site for it

I would like a video of you opening up the hub motor. I think I may need to lubricate a bearing or something inside.
@AvengerIl3 жыл бұрын
Im a bit of an evolve fan... Theyre pretty reliable and sturdy thesedays.. h5 looks super lightweight and no motors sticking out... But small wheels etc... And motors inside wheels probably cant take as much abuse?

@pcragan13 жыл бұрын
What did you do wrong when you went to fix the bearing? I Almost went right in on my h5. My bearings are fine and all i was just going to upgrade.
@asavag33 жыл бұрын
There's no easy way to remove the inner bearing within the hub shell. I tried to pry it out using a flathead and ended up puncturing the aluminum housing on the hub. From there on, the new bearings wouldn't sit flush and I ended up cooking one of them.
