Just a remark for Americans ! : do not Call an uber in venezia ! Just saying for fun for a friend . Love venice stayed there the first 5 days in the start of our honeymoon !! Been back 5 time since then !

Staying near the " Sites " is not advisable as it is expensive to so. Berlin is well served by cheap train in the S bahn and Metro U Bahn. I stayed in Schoenewiede and caught the trains and then walked . Don't blow your cash on inner city hotels. I bought my tickets from the on platform vending machines. The Berlin welcome tickets are a waste of time as they include things of no interest. Just pay for things you actually want to do.
