@@DanStanbridge did you look at a megabass speaker or did you go with an em1

@irishsixtysixfanGbrf66739 it’s the standard speaker that comes with the model, it was 37430 before it was completely repainted

@@DanStanbridge if you go to Richard at roads and rails he does a good range of speakers I found the standard ones Bachmann use to be absolutely rubbish the 20x40 ones have no bass and can be very low and crackling too

@irishsixtysixfanGbrf66739 I’ve used Richard a fair few times for my DCC needs, to be fair it’s also been mentioned the CV settings can be adjusted on these to reduce the crackling which is something I will have someone else do as I have made the mistake before of changing a CV and the loco sounds have stopped

Thank you very much for the comment, well worth the last minute dash the night before to bag these two fine machines in action, the bonus and also the let down were the 20s coming out to play with them dropping down so far it eliminated the sound of the 56s departing.

Thank you Darrell, its been a long time since our last session on The Dale, 2020 to be exact was the last session had down there. Providing nothing changes 2023 we will see at least one session had but exact time and dates remain to be seen at this stage.

Hi Steve, after the last running session back in January 2020 there were several plans to some form of return to action in the mid to late 2020 and during 2021 however due to covid etc etc that never happened. With myself being away from the layout talks to have another running session have been slow to respond hence a few running sessions with Talbot Lane TMD happened instead. Looking ahead to 2023 the same sessions I had planned are still set to continue albeit with additions to the fleet which I have yet to get around to doing with work and family commitments. I'm really hoping 2023 will be a better year for returning to The Dale and having some more good running sessions.

I didnt realise its been so long! It's a great layout. Be good to see it up and running again 👍🏻 All the best
