I had an even worse experience with FLIX recently in Ottawa Canada going to Toronto. My ticket clearly said 33 George Street as the pickup location---well they moved it, even BEFORE I bought my ticket, but never updated the info on the PDF tickets or gave me any sort of email or anything that hey the pick up location has changed. So I go to the old location, the one I did catch a bus from them before, and YEP. No bus, no other humans with suitcases anywhere, I am like WTF?! So I hang around til about 12:30AM and then have to scramble back to my home---and try to figure out WTF was going on, and after some hunting found that they had moved the pick up location way far away from the old one---so I had to get a ticket on another bus line for early in the morning to get where I needed to be at so I didn't totally have to cancel my travel plans. Eventually got in touch with their "support" online and they basically said according to their info the bus left ON TIME/SCHEDULE from 33 George on June 6 and said I should ALWAYS follow the info on my ticket---blah blah blah, which was the problem I DID and the info on the ticket was now WRONG cause that ticket info was out of date. So they refused any sort of refund, blamed me for missing the bus, and could care less that they left me stranded. THE WORST COMPANY EVER. Should totally lose their license to operate/do business in Canada/North America. F@cking scammers, thieves and probably paying ILLEGAL ECONOMIC MIGRANTS who probably aren't even properly licensed to be driving the buses.

Great guide. Thank you very much🙏. I hope it’s ok to share Experience of my brother.He was in European side in November 23, paid 50€ for two kebab’s and coca cola, with recipe. And other group of frends paid 175€ for 5 100gr kebabs and 1.5 cola and 1.5l of water.
@david1georgeАй бұрын
Thanks for letting us know. In November, 1 euro was 31.5 Turkish Lire. 1750 TL for two Kebabs and a coca cola is a lot. That's like 50 Euros. There are even restaurants on the Galata Bridge that will openly post prices like that with an aggressive host that will try to get you to sit down in their restaurant. Then, I can walk a few blocks down from the Galata bridge and get those same items for 100TL from a walk up restaurant with their kebab or chicken donair prices posted right above their cash register and walk back to the Galata Bridge and eat it watching all the fishermen on the bridge throwing their hooks in the water and getting fish for free. It's amazing how there's so many restaurants there and no consistent prices from restaurant to restaurant as well as some unscrupulous restaurants that have no qualms about overcharging. Let the buyer beware.

Did you try any Czech food ? Knedlicky for instance ?
@david1george3 ай бұрын
Of course, my favourite is knedlíky s kysaným zelím, but most restaurants I went to didn't have sauerkraut on the menu. Oddly, everyone had goulash, which originates from Hungary like trdelnik.

Hi thank you for the video!! Did you shoot the video during Ramadan? Just wondering because we’re going in Ramadan and we were wondering how things are there during Ramadan
@david1george3 ай бұрын
No, it was actually filmed during off peak season. I found that during peak season like Ramadan, most hotels and airfare cost 50%-100% more than off peak like January to early March. The lineups and crowds are a lot bigger and the cellphone GPS becomes useless with really long delays updating your real time location on busy streets if you're not familiar with the neighbourhood--you think it'll take you 10 mins. to get from point A to B using the GPS and it ends up taking you an hour and a half.

Thank you for the video :) It brought back some memories of going to Prague in the summer of 2022. I stayed in an AirBnB in a building where your camera was pointing at 8:37. The interesting thing was that the building was right on top of the rail tunnel and whenever trains passed through you could feel the vibrations in the building even on the 8th floor where my apartment was. As far as Prague being "inviting" for tourists I would say that its neither inviting or hostile to tourists, it's just that you come and visit on your own agenda. I really enjoyed my time in Prague and I hope you did as well :)

Hi @david which is the best place you prefer to shop for jackets is it near the Grand Bazaar area or this underground market place?
@david1george4 ай бұрын
If you take the direct tram from the Grand Bazaar , it's really quick. If I'm looking to buy a new jacket, I will check out a few different areas and getting their lowest price so a have a baseline before deciding to buy.

Certainly is sad what happened to those two Christians.
I had even worse experience just hours before. There were 4 of them and they pulled me in a car and drove me to a completely unfamilliar neighbourhood. Meanwhile taking photos of my passport.

Did they pull you into a regular unmarked car or a police car? Did this happen at night or during the day? What happened after?
