This organ has such a beautiful sound, the silvery mixtures are like a crowning jewel to the great Thuringian praestant.

Peter Tyrrell, I can’t find some of my comments, so I am trying this. I agree that it’s fine to perform the Prelude in 54 crotchets per minute. But different sources say 60, that’s not wrong either. That you prefer slower tempi is no proof that no one played the Prelude in 60, or 63. Don’t you realize that our personal taste is without value in the debate? In Bach’s time there were many Peter Tyrrell’s and many Geir Ø Eskeland’s, they had different perceptions of tempo, therefore some chose to play slower than others. BWV 548 is not church music. But Bach’s original says organ with obligato pedal, therefore it is common to perform BWV 548 in churches, for this is usually where we find the organs. But the churches were cold in winter, so they played at home, on a harpsichord with pedal. Is there still church music, then?

Awesome. No need for assistance or registration. BACH would be proud of that.

Just discovered this channel and I'm really enjoying all the performances. Hopefully there are many more to come. It's so great to see the intros with details about some of the great instruments I've loved for decades. Thank you! 👏

This organ has taught many students... how to play. Love the clarity between the individual voices. No wonder Bach loved it.

Clementi included with total reason the middle movement in his harmony treatise, but let's remember that the first and last ones also deserve harmonic analyses. With respect to the performance, this young man is a very good organist. I watched to other videos of him and feel he deserves the highest consideration. Congratulations also to his organ teacher(s), that certainly must be proud of him!

I absolutely loved this performance. Even in the most complex, rapid passages, all the voices could be clearly heard. Thank you!

A sublime performance of perhaps Bach's greatest organ work, on a world heritage instrument. Maybe the best organ video on KZfaq. THANK YOU!

🎹 👍 Perfetta esecuzione. Bach. Grazie mille e complimenti!!!

EXCELLENT! I remember that I studied this toccata and fugue in my undergraduate time. It's possibly one of the rare cases in which it is advisable - at least for the toccata - n to use no 16' stops for the manuals and no 32' for the pedals (the work would lose its clarity). Thanks a lot for posting it!

@christianguinier176311 ай бұрын
@christianguinier176311 ай бұрын
