Spending a lot of an employee's work time talking and taking them away from their work, is frowned on everywhere ... not just on cruises. It's rude to other people, and rude to their employer.

Don't worry, if you're not sick, you'll probably have a cold before the cruise is over😆As for CBD, these cruise lines should worry far more about drunk and disorderly losers who over indulge. I wonder if anyone's ever used a drone to film hot babes from their balconies?

You can request to get off a cruise early. Like you mentioned, you have to request the early disembarking ahead of time. My client just this week successfully did this on a Princess cruise in the UK

I've heard how bad Jamaica can be, but I've been to Cozumel 4 times and never really had any issues but I never veered away from a cruise sanctioned excursion or the port. It's sad that the Bahamas are on this list too.

I usually wear pickpocket-proof pants (Nothing Arts.). I did have an incident in Barcelona at an ATM. I almost told the guy to have a "Mala Muerte."

I take my RATs & anti virals for Covid. Cruise ships charge $1000 for them. On top of that there is the cost of the medical centre.

I'm travel savvy but last time I was in Florence, an elderly lady fainted dead away right in our path. As soon as my husband and I bent down to see if we could help her up. A swarm of teens surrounded us and turned every pocket and tried to grab anything they could. The whole fainting bit was a scam. Until then I was wondering why locals merely stepped over the " poor little ladies."

I've generally made the effort to clear my own table after I'm done. I do so because I get to the eating areas early and get to have a table right beside the window. Those are highly coveted spots and are, invariably, always the first to be taken by passengers. By clearing them, I have the table ready to go and also indicate to anyone looking for a table that it is available. Within seconds, that table that I vacate will be scooped up. I have never thought it could adversely affect the crew in any way. Is it time for a rethink? Edit: I should also add that, if I am not at a table beside a window, I do not clear the table. I only do it when I am beside the window.

The upkeep is just terrible not to mention the interior was horrid from day one and now it’s aged like mouldy milk.

We took our first ever repositioning cruise this spring, from Florida to Amsterdam. After a few days in Amsterdam, we've been exploring in France since then, and will go on for more European travel until our next repositioning cruise, which will be in fall. From Southampton back to Florida. It was a great way to get to Europe, and compared to one way flights, a great bargain to go back.

We looked at this a few years ago, my partner and i are in our late 30s, We looked into it and thought nope, not worth it, saved the money and went to japan. Green class travel on a shinkansen is a million times more enjoyable than any dorty old diesel in australia.

Pretty good breakdown, thanks. I'd looked at a couple of different Australian train trips and was disappointed with their prices. One thing to conclude is the prebooked, prepaid seasonal trips seem to offer reasonable discounts. Flown over the country a few times for work and the red centre is always striking.

Thank you for this video. The "free stuff" scam happened to me when I was in China as I was about to get back on a tour bus. I was ignoring the sellers when one pushed something "free" in my hand as I was walking. Then, they started yelling at me to pay for it. The tour director came off the bus and yelled at them in Chinese and they walked away.

my first cruise was in 2012. I had the flu one week before cruise so when filling out health questionnaire I was honest and ticked yes. I had to answer a few extra questions but was cleared to board. just before cruising shut down due to covid a port official was telling people to tick no to both health questions on form, even if they should be ticking yes so that they could still get on cruise. it is no wonder covid was spread so easy on cruise ships when people lie on health form.

Did not know that the laundry was per person! That was news to me, although last time I had laundry done it came back as a rumpled mess. The previous time the shirts were nice but the last time the dress shirts were just stuffed in the bag.

Discrimination due to age, disability or chronic condition is why I'll never risk my life by getting on a cruise ship. My guess is that if I told them about my disabilities and conditions, I wouldn't be told I couldn't board until I've paid money which they would not refund by claiming i tried to "Hide my condition."

Our only experience on Holland America was over the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday a few years ago. There was absolutely nothing to do after 5 PM and the piano player verbally abused my wife to drive us out of "his" lounge (one of the few venues that was supposed to have entertainment) so he wouldn't be bothered. There certainly weren't many kids or families around. We haven't been in a hurry to go back and mostly sail with Princess. Any changes from that would be a step up and might get be interested in trying again.
