Thank you for this video, I have a question.. I had one of these made for my beautiful dog after she passed, but it seems the imprint isn't too noticeable, will it look better once fully dry? (I just got it today and I was told it takes 7 or so days to fully dry)

I live in a fifth wheel camper on a rented lot. I've been wanting one of these since I moved here. I'm disabled and would have to hire someone to assemble and install it. You have to build a bottom for the catio so that would need hired too. Could you install a padlock for the outside? I live in town and there are a lot of people wandering around that could open the door. I'd have to get a flap door. No camper needs another air leak. Thank you! ❤ 😺

I have a cat bag that opens at each leg, yet our little cat is so strong she can twist around in it. It came with a little mask with a opening for the cat's nose. It stops her from biting and she can't see what we are doing. I would love to buy this.

OMG, I just stumbled upon this channel. This list he EXACT catio I have. I was able to put it together myself and 2 years later I have no complaints. I really recommend it.

My husband builds and does remodeling... and he was impressed! I HATE to watch stuff being put together.... but I sat here and watched the whole thing, talking out loud saying .... This is one amazing lady! That's how my husband got interested in the build. LOL Good job! You should be proud of yourself.

I've had this same catio for about a year now. Mine showed up damaged, so I got a refund. But I was able to fix the broken bits after a trip to my local hardware store. Here are my top tips to enjoy it longer... Keep the wood bottom off bare ground to prevent rotting (I put bricks under the perimeter to help wick away rain and prevent digging since I left the ground exposed inside it). And ziptie the shelf supports to the outer walls. Since the wood is pretty soft, I noticed the screws ripping out from my cats jumping on and off the shelves after a couple weeks. I added an extra screw to each bracket, and the zipties have helped prevent any separation or collapse. Bonus: add some solar string fairy lights to the ceiling for visibility and ambiance.

I think this is my only hope...expensive but no other way I can see. I have a very very difficult old (16 yrs) cat that's developed OA and she was difficult even before this. She is so bad that the vet wanted to totally put her under for it ($142) in addition to the $25 for the trim (yes, corporation bought out the practice and they are expensive). But they did have a point with totally putting her under. They gave me gabapentin to try to do it myself. Did it once and it worked ok with wrapping in a towel but she did fight me the whole time. Not today. She fought me like mad even on a ml of gabapentin and I slipped and got one of her claws too deep very badly. She bled like a stuck pig and I had to wrangle her back into the towel to dress her foot. I will be ordering these. You are right about wriggling out of towels and the restraint bag (I had bought 2 of these) would be no help as you can't swaddle the cat in it and I've found out that's critical if you don't want to hurt them like I did today'. Today was horribly frustrating and I've got PTSD and so does my cat.

Absolutely brilliant. I totally agree. When people think "make it out of cardboard" they think it'll be bad but no, there's all sorts of building techniques that people don't think about. Layering cardboard over each other at a joint for strength, using a palm sander to grind square edges into round ones, etc. When you acquire enough skill, you'll be a cardboard sculptor and can make anything you need for (almost) free PLUS your cat will love it more. I've spent too much on cat furniture only to build it myself like you. That ramp looks stable and cats love that texture.

Kudos for you putting it all together by yourself that's like me everything I do by myself but I did notice the catio is very frail and the roof is flat if it starts raining then cats are out there they're going to get soaked

Schön das man Kätzchen darin laufen sehen konnte. Also das Teil dreht viel zu schwer und stabil ist es auch nicht. Krach macht es auch. Ich werde da lieber ein stabiles aus Holz bauen mit einem Radlager. Kommt dann an die Wand oder auf ein Gestell. Anleitungsvideos gibt es ja genug hier in YT.

You did a great job explaining each portion of the construction. I estimate that you had to cut 36 4 inch pieces of paper for the outside and glue them each on. You did an awesome job it looks great
